USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

That's for distance, not precision. Defensive Leap is not normally considered a move action so it is always more difficult to make it one.

Andro's pool HAS been doubled for going between levels, however.

But then he would be right back up there with everyone... but with acid spilling out maybe that's not such a bad idea.

Yes, and he couldn't Defensive Leap upwards anyway, as that would be more of an OFFENSIVE leap.

Could he decide to tap Orthodox Guard if he failed the Dash?

Yes. Bit of a waste, though, as an OG tap, as Vera has shown in the Renegade thread, twins up very well with a Cleave.

Maybe Andro should go back on the offensive, then. Jump up and away from the acid, attack a pair of battle droids, tapping Orthodox Guard and Cleave along the way. And then swap in Perfect Strike for something, so that he can tap that for Defense while maybe taking on Kathya...

And Ush, correct me if I'm wrong, but if Andro got initiative and got his Cleave kill protection, he wouldn't lose any points from it because of the Guard tap?

And save the Force point, Andro.

You should have Perfect Strike in from the get go. gives you more dice, therefore more successes. Though I am not sure if you should tap Cleave. It is pretty useful to destroy mooks.

Actually, Perfect Strike should already be in, unless Andro's directions last turn were too vague (he did say swap Riposte for PS before). That'd give him fifteen dice against Mooks, and tapping his Guard would get him successes on everything but 3s, meaning a whole lot of protection from them! Much more useful in his state. Then swap Orthodox Guard out for Forward Guard.

Turn after that, he can tap Perfect Strike to keep his Defense up, maybe even go with one last spend on Ward to keep those Cleave points from dwindling too fast and keep Kathya from taking him out.

You could forgo the second attack and try to get behind cover with Co-Ordination and perhaps a Perfect Strike tap, though. Since you'd only kill one mook anyways, maybe it would be better to try to wait out.

PS is in, my mistake.

Maybe you swap in Forward Guard tap it, tap Perfect Strike and destroy two mooks, then swap in Orthodox Guard and tap it and Cleave and then run for cover with coordination?

That way you kill up to 4 mooks and then can hide out. Maybe you'll even get a refresh turn again.

He's made his swap for this turn; that was Perfect Strike coming in.

I thought he did that last turn?

I am a bit confuised about swapping anyways, like is it done as the first action of the new turn or last action? Or can you choose?

Swapping occurs at the start of a turn, before any actions are taken. Andro's current timing of swapping is that what he asks for will take place after his actions- he is leaving in place his swap for the start of the next turn.

Ah I see. He shouldn't do that I think, there might be new information at the start that could change something.

It's generally the best way to do it, especially when you bear refreshes in mind. If you wait for the turn info to be displayed before doing your swaps you are kinda doing it after the event; it it is a refresh turn I'd disallow it.

I see, well that makes it all the more tactical, haha.

You can leave conditionals, like "Swap x for y ONLY if the droideka is dead at the end of the turn", that kind of thing.

(Ok, I see something I did state poorly. Thanks to Alkaseltzer for mention saving the Force poitn, or I wouldn't have caught it. When I said dash to another vat, I was just being descriptive. I didn't literally use Dash, my mistake. I still want to try to keep playing hide and seek for as long as possible. edit-any chance if a vat near the door is shot up, that the door might be damaged enough for me to escape? If so, let's head for the vat nearest the door.)

I think with the acid spraying around, hide-and-seek might not be possible this turn. And I'm thinking the acid won't eat through the door. I support Gallagher's idea here; you can jump up, make your attacks, then jump back down the next turn farther away from the acid bath. It'd give you a load of protection.
