for the ones that espect an exact replica of the anime, is allready disapointed, as a movie with martial arts, and people with power fighting, this movie could had kung fu hustler/ matrix fights. so this movie will not be as bad as some said.

ok, can i start by saying that: what did everyone expect ?!? some 6ft bulked up japanese guy with 4 ft hair running across the screen kicking the crap out of everybody?!?.....
look its a sci-fi action flick !, which actually looks entertaining enough!

i dont mean to bash, but c'mon! aside from making this flick completely digitally animated ......theres only som much you can Realistically get away with!
if having it made how (everyone thinks) it should have been made would only result in this movie being an upgraded graphic version of the original Street Fighter & Mortal Kombat movies OK!!! resulting in an EPIC FAIL !!!

DB the anime is based in a Real World (earth) setting, with a Sci-Fi Twist!!!!! (aliens, other planets, super human powers etc. etc.!)
i for one think that this being a Sci-Fi Action story come to life and the way they set it up, is pretty kick ass! but again thats IMO.

The movie is looking better and better. I might actually like this film. (I've seen every episode and read every chapter...so there is hope for this film if someone as "hardcore" as myself can say that this movie can't be that bad.)

I don't mind that it doesn't "look" like the manga, it's a different medium altogether. I do mind that, from what I have read about the story, it has hardly anything to do with Dragonball.
But again, I will decide once I have seen it. It just doesn't look good to me, at the moment.

Fair enough, I disagree, as ROTS still has some almost unbearable cringeworthy moments, while I feel neither OT has that. But all PT being better than all OT? Come ooon.

Still incredibly awkward to watch. And total lack of badassery before. But there's a thread in the Star Wars forum (started by me, oh yeah) about what people disliked about the PT, so we don't need to go into it in the Dragonball movie thread (a movie, which, incidentally looks pretty bad, imo)
