Don't see why the 500ish is not feasible. In TB, age doesn't automatically make you a superior in the hierarchy of The Authority.

That age was actually based on an estimate for how long the Authority had been around, which doesn't in itself indicate that it's his true age.

And as Tempest mentioned, Salome believed that the only non-Authority vampire capable of ending Roman was Russell. If Roman was only 500, she could've seduced Eric into doing the deed, rather than going to the trouble of digging up a 3000 year old psychopath who was in every way imaginable more dangerous than Roman, and likely to turn on the Authority at any given moment.

Hey, you guys remember how Russell died?

Good times.

Any vampire could have killed Roman, just stake him when he's not paying attention.

👆

Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool that they preserve the idea that no one can take Russell in a fair fight, but come on.

Better to have Billith kill him, I think.

Apart from the times that he was with Salome(whose religious motivations kept her from killing him herself), how many times was he in such a vulnerable position in the series?

What a terrible, dull and un-climatic ending for the only good villain of the series.

Whenever he had his back to a vampire. 👆

Pretty much, so anytime he bottomed he was in danger, like his former lover Talbot who got the shaft.

Which was how many times? Against non-Authority vampires(or others not loyal to him)?

I didn't take the time to count.

I was very disappointed when Roman died. They did a piss poor job with that.

False. Russell ovewered him. Russell was the show. Watch yourself.

The show has piqued my interest again. Warlow seems like an interesting character. They better not **** this up.

Show just gets worse, even the people I watch it with who used to like it laugh now at how overly clownish it has gotten. Fat Rutger Hauer being a Fairy Grandfather is lolz fail.

WW2/Holocaust theme with the "you'll be next Sam!" sentiments and what appears to be UV showers. So silly.

Bill having Jedi powers is lolz fail.

Not expecting anything out of the Warlow angle, seems like another Russell clone theme. "An ancient powerful vampire", got it and it's been done.

Show is really impressing me thus far. Given the backdrop of the King of the faeries by some obsessed really old vampire gives the show some new blood. He's been trapped all this time and is free to come at them. The humans developing technology to capitalize on the vampires weaknesses and block some of their strengths is changing things up as well.

These vampires have always been stronger and far faster than jedis. Excited to see where the Warlow story goes more than anything else but finally I am excited after seeing the greatest True Blood character of all time perish last season.

Great ep.

Easy, not everything is a Vs Match. Easy.

Old vampire obsessed with Fairy blood = Russel. Been there; done that.

Even Sam and Lafayette have turned into turds. No character is safe from the apparent 15yo girls who write this show now.

All vampires are obsessed with faerie blood hence why they had to go into hiding. Russell went after the only faeries he had knowledge of. He was unaware of their existence but Warlow has an obsessed revenge fest against their family. Russell was just power hungry and enjoyed the taste of faerie blood as do all vampires.

You are still watching so I'm sure they are fine by your continued support.
