From the forum rules...

"Basic Knowledge
Each side receives basic knowledge of the other. A good measure of this would be what the general population of the character's homeworld knows. For example, that Superman has a weakness to Kryptonite is general knowledge, but that he's Clark Kent is not.."

Thats what we call an example. It's not saying that is the only measure.

Yes but it still sets the bar at a lower level than you're suggesting. They don't get to look at each others bios or anything, they just know the things that are commonly known about them. And not amoung other heroes and villains, things commonly known by pretty much EVERYONE. Supes is going to hear something to the effect of "Thanos is the most dangerous being ever born on Titan. He's killed untold people and he's nearly succeeded in taking over the universe a couple of times before" and he's going to think something like "Whoa, this guy sounds like he might be as dangerous as Darkseid. I'd better be careful until I know his full capabilities".

Really? It says all that in the rules? Cause I looked and I must've missed that paragraph, perhaps you can point it out.

Exactly, so Supes would know about his shield and would know how he has to attack.

Except that there's nothing to indicate that Thanos's force field itself is basic common knowledge(plenty of people have been suprised by it in fact), let alone the strength of said field. If you're claiming that it is then where's your evidence to support the claim?

Says one of the people who's been showing just how many times he's used it in combat.

Or does a Mod have to rule on that too?

Aster Phoenix, you gonna back up your claim and provide proof? C'mon now, Ultimate Cap said it best:

Are you waiting for Christmas? Are you not going to listen to Ultimate Cap? ... filthy commie. durhulk

*gets ready to hand him his nomination for KMC "Worst Dodge of the Month" award*

"Darthgoober to be announced as co-presenter of award. Stay tuned for broadcast details." dur

It was your claim, not mine.

Shall Darthgoober and I hand you your KMC "Worst Dodge of the Month" award... or are you going to dodge that too? 😂

Okay, now this is just bizarre. You have been clinging to mod rulings every step of the way in this thread but felt like you could ignore them when the mods ruled in my favor by saying that issue numbers could be used in lou of scans.

Yes I have shown it used repeatedly in combat, and if you review the instances provided there was a universal element of surprise at Thanos's FF's. Thor, the Champion, and the Fallen one were all surprised by the very presence of the shield and Galactus was surprised by their strength. None of those supports the notion of Supes getting a complete rundown on Thanos's FF.

Reported for trolling, and it's your claim, your the one dodging.

And there lies your answer. Supes knows it's there so he would attack in the manner I discribed.

You put those in the wrong order it goes:

Yes I have shown it used repeatedly in combat

Then comes:

And there lies your answer. Supes knows it's there so he would attack in the manner I described.

Thats better.

You've truly justified your award. Here you go. With Darth's and my compliments...

*Hands over award to Aster Phoenix*

*Aster Phoenix dodges the award*

*Aster Phoenix defeats the award*

*Aster Phoenix gains 21 EXP and 240 GP*

I'm not going to patronize you like a child anymore. You made a claim first. I never suggested anything. I was trying to be nice because you asked someone to support their assertion with proof and I gave you proof. I made no comments otherwise. Do not insert what you'd like to have happened where nothing exists. I never participated in this thread until you asked for proof. I knew where it was, so I gave it to you out of courtesy. Then you made a claim in response.

I asked for proof. So provide it. It's very simple.

Very simple, indeed. Too bad Christmas is so far away... 🙁
