Let them keep Cortez at 10, then make him 15 after this week. I don't mind, and it doesn't affect anyone else, and I think it would be unfair to me to allow them to make any changes now, since even 5 points can be turned into 2-3 switches to make things work out again, and it could leave me facing an entirely different team, one that is made specifically to take out my characters, and giving me no chance to protest or respond.

i actually think that is a very fair decision. you won't believe me digi, but i honest-to-god haven't even checked out your new team. 😮 i'm sure scoob has though. 😬

i'm fine with your proposal if ill will ok it. from your pov, it really does seem unfair. (in my defense, i've been looking to find guys that can keep MY plan in order though, as opposed to finding guys that will be good fits against YOUR particular team.

Leo/Scoob, you can re-tool your roster for the following week. Cortez is a go for the match with Digi.

Well hell, now that ill clarified the ruling, I might not have said that. I thought you could keep Cortez for 15 and have to re-pick others, which would be unfair. His ruling was that Cortez could be dropped for another 10-pointer, which I would've been fine with, since only so much can be done in 10 pts.

But I won't be a jerk and take back the offer, even though I'm a bit remorseful that it was accepted before I had a chance to see the clarification of the rule. I'm ok with their team.

Besides, it was likely my fault for not requesting disambiguation of the rule before making the offer. It was a reaction of my initial shock to the ruling as I understood it.

As it is, I'm ok with their team. Cortez was made 15 because he can overload mutants. Fortunately I don't have any. So I'm facing "10 point Cortez" as it were.

Hey, can someone tell me exactly what Cortez can do? Amp mutants. K. Can he amp anyone else? Overload mutants. K. Can he overload and/or de-power anyone else?

Based on everything that had been said/written/posted in his bio/etc. it made it sound like he could only affect mutants. Even ill's "he should be 15" revolved around overloading mutants, making it sound like that was the worst he could do. If he can do it to others, well, that's kinda stupid for 10 points.

Handbook bio, guys. "Any other superpower or energy sourse" . I do realise that handbooks are crap, but usually they're crap in opposite direction (diminishing characters)😗
