Don't think so. According to the storyline, both Gouken and Akuma trained under Goutetsu. Akuma embraced the style at its 'purest,' while Gouken transformed Ansatsuken into a non-killing art.

At least we know where Ryu gets the Shinshoryuken and the Joudan Sokutou Geri from.

According to Akuma, he says that its the person's past sins that does them in upon executing the Raging Demon.

😂 You do know that Gouken and his image has existed long before Tekken 5 so it's actually the other way around if you wanna call it.

Also, I know this kinda off topic but, does anyone know if Jinpachi is playable in TDR for the PS3?

I second that. Capcom took Gouken's present appearance from a SF manga (you can find it at Borders) in which Bison killed Gouken, not Akuma.

Gouken's always been shown as a big bald guy w/a beard

on the contrary. Gouken has always been around as big and bald and bearded......BUT with a karate gi (either brown or grey) and his face looking buttfugly like Gouki's. the Gouken they cooked up for SF4 doesn't wear a karate gi and looks and dresses similar to Jinpachi. he evne ties his hair in that ponytail like Jinpachi. and he was no where as bulky as they drew him now. he looked just like Gouki back then. Now he looks like Jinpachi.
