"Well then lets go." she said as she moved down the trail, Jacc followed behind. Her dreads hit her back as she moved her bare feet along the fallen leaves. The sun was starting to set and in the distance the Olympian's were planning to move. She looked at Yondaime, Jacc and Reina. "Are we going to have to tie you up tonight Reina?" she asked. "I really dont want to be food tonight. "
Reina quickly shook her head, "you wont have to worry about her, shell be out for a couple of nights. " she replied to halo. thank god i know Ayame's weaknesses she thought to herslef.
Halo stopped just before a cliff, it's drop was about 30 feet down. There was a large waterfall just across the way, and below was a river. It seemed calm, other than where the waterfall hit. A small rainbow jetted out of the waterfall, and the sun set just behind it leaving the sky this tangerine color with stripes of yellow and red ripping through it. The colors beat off Halo's face, making her warm. Native birds sung there babies to sleep, large nest's almost the size of small homes dangeled from the tall tree's. For a second everything was calm.
She looked at Jacc Yondaime and Reina.
"Anyone afraid of heights?" she asked.
Jacc jerked his head, only vaguely aware of what was going on, snapping back from his daze. "Huh? Oh, nope. Not afraid of heights, gods be praised..." He shuddered inwardly, not wanting to reveal to the group that he had a drastically evil fear of all things above a 6 foot altitude. This is my chance... to shake that fear...
"Good cause we're jumping." she said. Her ears perked and she looked at Jacc and smiled. "On the count of 3." she said. " 1....2...." she didnt even get to three before she jumped off the cliff edge, laughing as she fell downwards into the large pool of water below. As her body entered the cooling water she swam to the top.
"Just close your eyes and go!" she shouted up to them.
Jacc closed his eyes, premeditating the jump. Jesus Christ, first a wreck, now a jump from a ledge into, of all things, water... This is not my week. Okay, Jacc, just jump it. Now! No sooner had the thought crossed his mind than he tripped over a loose rock and fell into the pool below head first, emerging moments later, sputtering and gasping for breath. "Wonderful... That couldn't have been more embarassing..."
Halo had pulled herself to shore, when Jacc hit the water. As he came to surface, she smiled and shook out her dreads.
"Are you okay?" she asked him. She was soaked from head to toe. "Come on, we'll move to that small cave." she said. She walked towards it, through the waterfall. The cave was move like a small shelter, but it was dry and had enough cover to make a fire. "We better make a fire soon, before we freeze." she said.

carpathian swiftly unsheathed both his katanas and readied himself to attack the figure "this does not have to end in your death. go back to where you came from and i will spare you." he listened as the elf ran for her life, making him feel like a failure for letting her get away so easily
"hey man you're lettin her get away!" the small creature turned and sprinted aftert her with the speed of a wolf. "come back here!"

Jacc nodded his head, swimming to shore, clumsily albeit. He'd never been one for water, though he couldn't recall why. Perhaps a repressed memory? He mentally shook off the issue and followed Halo into the cave, shaking himself dry, for what it was worth, before helping to gather some dry wood to start a fire. "Fire... s-s-sounds... lovely..." He shivered a bit, the chill of the water getting to him. "I... h-hate... water..."
he jumped onto the back of the cat, gripping her fur and pulling himself on. "no we do not, i don't even know that guy!" he climbed onto lin's shoulder, leaning down into her face. "ma'am, i'm giving you a ticket for speeding, driving off road, ignoring traffic laws, and above all, your ride being a friggin tiger! ever heard of a horse?" he laughed and fell back onto mara's haunches, rolling off onto the forest floor.
Carpathian sheathed his axe and ran after the two, his eyes seeing clearly through the darkness "those two will get killed if they keep going. my Gods will surely punish them...even the elf" he got quiet when he thought of her and sped up. he was right behind them and looked around as creatures of the forest were gathering "you must stop at once! stop or you will die!"

She smiled, and grabbed the flint. The fire was small, but it kept the small cave warm. She looked at Jacc and leaned back.
"These friends of yours, from ...wherever youre from... are they good people?" she asked.
Jacc nodded, his eyes more or less glazing over as he thought about them, purveying the memories to Halo. "The best... that I ever knew. There were only a handful of us, but... We were close..."
Lin whimpered softly as the cat fell onto it's side. Her leg was pinned beneath the great beast. She struggled to pull free, reaching for what could easily be mistaken for a katana on her back. "How dare you! Get away from her!" The great cat glanced back at Lin from the corner of her eye, she could sense Lin's pain and frustration. The cat growled softly. "Limn" Mara struggled to get onto her feet, rolling and kicking her feet weakly. Lin screamed as all of Mara's weight shifted onto her leg. "You fool let her go!" The metal of her armor bent beneath the weight, its jagged edges digging into Lin's leg muscle.
Carpathain slowly lifted the great cat off of the elf and gently layed her down on the ground. he sat next to the elf's injured leg and rubbed his hands quickly. "Gods of the Underworld, keepers of the forest, help me mend this leg back to it natural state." he felt a warm sensation run through him as he concentrated on her leg "lay still. if you move, you die from the loss of this connection"
