Bioshock 2

I'm kinda disappointed that there's more than one Big Sister. I felt that she was gonna be like Nemesis and Pyramid Head where the monster hunts down the player until the end of the game but that isn't what's happening here.

I'm glad that the Big Daddy everyone will be playing as is sticking out from all the other ones. It's good to know you won't be playing as something that looks like a Rosie. That was perhaps early development when 2K was figuring out on how it would look.

The beginning is a little different from the trailers.

Doesnt it come out until Tuesday (2/09)? Or do u have an "alternate" copy?

I've got this preordered on steam. Getting excited.

Have fun with that

there won't be no LAN with the PC one.

Doesn't matter. Never use LAN. I'm getting this for the single player, probably won't play much of the multiplayer.

Me too.

I picked up BFBC2 at the time so I got the MP covered.

I didnt even know it had a multi player. I just want this for singles campaign too.

Nah my friend works at gamestop

I need to get me a part time at GS! lol.

Killed a few big sisters so far on normal mode. They're pretty tough, id say a little tougher than the big daddy.

I suggest you start off on hard mode.

I'm sick and tired of the reviewers complaining about going back to Rapture and getting that familiar feeling just being there. Well of course Bioshock will always be set in Rapture. Where else, Atlantis?! I play Silent Hill games and when I do play new ones and am back at the same town, I always feel that good mixed with creeped out feeling, not "oh my god, this is lame" feeling.

It's not surprising. One of the main things going for the original Bioshock was the uniqueness of the world which is inherently going to be impossible to replicate in a sequel.

It's not at all familiar. You get to go outside quit a few times in the beginning. The entire environment looks beefed up and more interactive.

It's just another part of the whole city isnt it?

Btw, Charging at someone with your drill is pure win

Well, they have a right to feel like the devs are not maximizing on the concept. Imagine a Bioshock 2 set in the future or whatever, in another world or facility.

Dead Space devs may have been tempted to set the next game on the Ishimura but they went further, they're setting the next installment in a human colony. They're extending the universe of their games in a way by changing the backdrop.

This...game...is...INCREDIBLE! I just got it today and it's even better than how I expected it to be. Splicers praying sounds creepy, the Big Sister is as vicious as how the developers said she'll be, and I'm confused as to how the heck

Spoiler:
Subject Delta survived a head shot especially when he took his helmet off before that happened
.

I just completed it, the endings kinda...shitty, imo anyways. I didn't know there were gonna be so many big sisters! The first Big sister I killed I was like 'oh ok then, no more big sister!' Then there's another and I was like 'WTF!?!' ha-son I did enjoy playing as the big daddy especially after the last game where you play as a big daddy which just ended up being a huge dissapointment and going outside of rapture was cool, charging at splicers with the drill was great fun and they got pwned when you charge at them, but in a way I do actually find myself kinda liking the original more but then I did put my expectations for bioshock 2 a little high

The game is definitely excellent. The wonder and mystery of Rapture is obviously softened in the sequel, but the gameplay is actually better, and despite the familiarity with Rapture, it's still one of the most incredibly well-realized game worlds ever, it's still really awesome to explore. I find myself just wandering around looking at everything, trying to find all I can. And the audio journals are even better in the sequel I feel.

And the big sisters are very cool. Very intimidating.

Anyone know if this one has different endings? I saved all the little sisters so I dunno if there's different endings for harvesting them. I'm guessing the good ending was the proper ending for the first Bioshock game
