I'd ask you to refrain from posting out of context, misleading scans.

"Republic of India" is actually India's official name.
The other choice would have been "Le Roi", a school in Calgary, Alberta Canada, but I thought the convention here was to go by country name, so I dismissed that one.

So not what I was laughing about.

You're comedy gold however, even this post made me chuckle.

Black Lightining alone? No. Aquaman on his own, unamped, without artefacts? Surviving? No. Get your facts right, it was impressive. The probes are probably mid till high herald level, if not higher.

Aquaman wasn't "amped".
He just used a skyfather's weapon. And up to the point he called on Poseidon's power the weapon wasn't amped as well.
And for all intents Aquaman took the blast point blank and survived.
But Orin underwater is a beast anyway.

Superman was stripped of his powers at that scan.
And the weight is only 2 tons.

Pathetic attempt at portraying WW as superior.

Nice scan, bluewaterrider 🙂

He was also in full armor of some kind. Though this really isn't WW respect discussion.

An armor that

a) Was never stated or shown to be anything special or boost his abilities.
b) Never actually came into play, since the Imperiex Probe wasn't able to connect one single attack.

I agree this is WW respect thread, but the "amped" Aquaman statement was false.

Thanks, Q!

Yeah, I love this 118 scan, too...
(I made it into my signature image yesterday!)

I was somewhat surprised to see the pencil work was done by Ron Frenz; a name I always associate with MARVEL Comics, not DC, but I suppose it is really only fans who think of the 2 companies as truly separate nowadays.

I could certainly stand seeing Wonder Woman drawn this way more often: powerful, sculpted, rising up to even the most physical challenges on behalf of others...

Diana could use far more artists in the mold of Ron Frenz and Aaron Lopresti than she's seen to date...

Sadly, a great percentage of the earlier scans in this thread are inaccessible now. This is due to the fact that fangirl101's image host provider, Picamatic.com, has apparently permanently shut down their website. I've seen that happen several times with Image Host Providers in the past; I now make it a habit to use KMC's own image hosting resources, limited though they are, whenever I post.
Though far from ideal, doing so insures that posted images will be available for fans to enjoy as long as KMC itself is maintained.
In no particular order, I'm going to try to reclaim some of the best entries. I'll start with...

Source: JLA/Titans Vol 1 #3
Date: February, 1999
Writer: Devin Grayson
Penciller: Phil Jimenez

Single Issue Title: "All in the Family"
Trade Title: "The Technis Imperative"
Description: Diana catches an asteroid

Ahk!

The above looks like the smallest scan that ever was...

Perhaps the following adjustment might help...

The scan from above is from the same storyline that features the JLA trying to halt the moon's progress.

The moon is a more impressive mass, obviously, but that is far more a group effort. Interestingly enough, other groups of heroes are also left trying to "catch" asteroids, even as Wonder Woman was shown doing above. Perhaps most intriguing is that 2 members of the Marvel family combined do not have strength enough to duplicate her feat, and are actually not able to do so in time even with the help of 2 powerful others.

To be fair, though, art is not always a safe guide; moreover, it's hard to judge how heavy an author intends supermassive objects to be when not expressly stated in narration.

Source for original panel: Justice League of America #24

Context: After an assault that nearly takes out Superman and the rest of the JLA, Diana defends and brings the team within ONE meter of victory...

Writer: Dwayne McDuffie
Penciller: Allan Goldman

Please note that, as KMC's size limit as its own Image Host Provider is 250 KB, the image has been adjusted for modesty, effect, and fit.

Use imageshack, or photobucket. This way you aren't restricted by any size limitations, and you can also fit multiple images (up to 10, I believe) in one post.

Can someone please transfer all the files from picamatic to photobucket or something? Everytime that i click the link i get "403 forbidden" I am a real big fan of wonder woman so i would really appreciate that

I get the same thing. Yes, please transfer those files. It's really important to the topic too.

Wonder Woman gives a nice beat down to Power girl after she is done pulling punches

Also a good Bracers feat- the physical attacks that hit it clearly do nothing even though PG can knock her to Canada, and that looks like the shield working against the double-punch charge.
