From one brief shot in the trailer, it looks like Thor might get possessed (look at him bringing the hammer down on Cap) and maybe Banner - brought to the team as an adviser, perhaps - has to Hulk out to stop him? That would be a fun twist.

Thor isn't possessed, based on the evidence at hand (ie the Avengers movie video game where the Avengers were fighting Skrulls) one of them is likely a Skrull.

No, he isn't but Joss Whedon has very few feature films and snappy dialogue (which wears thin ala Buffy) or the very average Serenity actually means Bay has produced better quality. Sure, Serenity wasn't that great but it was still quite good. Furthermore, his other movies/TV shows rock and to say he is worse than Bay is a blatant lie.

All matter of opinion, but I loved the OG Time Machine. Def. in my top 5 of sci fi movies.

If you are going to sock, you should at least use a character from a different tv show for your screen name. And this list (and the last one) of sci-fi movie greats you've come up with is laughable. Omega Man? Charleston Heston cheese fest. The Matrix? A second rate Dark City rip off stretched into three movies. Faranheit 451? I like Ray Bradbury's books as much as the next guy, but come on. You haven't even mentioned Metropolis or Solaris and you are already reaching.
