I have a few niggles with the Cap costume and Hulk design (really liked IH's version) but it's not puttting me off The Avengers, these things always look bad in promo images like that because they're just standing there and that's not how they are in comics.

I think with Cap's costume:

1.The suit narrows at the waist too much which makes the helmet stand out.

2.The belt is blue, which doesn't break up the body well and really should be brown.

3. The eye holes look weird because we're used to the Batman eye shadow, maybe some material should have covered the skin more around the eyes.

4. Evans looks a bit too fresh-faced, maybe some stubble would have made him look a bit more macho.

Again, this isn't stopping me, the trailer looks fantastic and the quotes are already making me feel this will be something special.

Well Joss Whedon does usually have smart, witty dialogue with his stuff

just watch alot of the tv shows he's been involved with.

Some dumb kid saying Michael can create better explosion means nothing to the rest of us. This looks to be good.

Pointless comparison.

Imo Joss Whedon's good at doing superheros. If he can get a huge audience for a teenage girl vampire slayer, then yeah he's good at that kind of genre.

I'm still thinking the Sons if Muspell and that the robot at the end is a mechanical version of the Midgard Serpent.

Not sure why Loki's army is still a mystery to people, because footage of the cancelled Avengers tie in videogame has been on the web since last September... they are Skrulls guys. Now I know Marvel has gone on record to say they aren't Skrulls, but that is either a lie or purely semantics and they are calling the Skrulls "Chitauri" like in the Ultimate U.
