^ I agree Joesha. Power wise he was the most powerful. Character wise he took a back seat though to Iron Man and Hulk. But tbh I don't mind that.

Fact is movie wouldn't have been the same without

Spoiler:
all the Thor/Hulk interactions. The fight and the humorous moments

Not sure what your point is about Abomination vs Hulk though.

Spoiler:
If anything that makes Thor look weaker, because he hardly handled Hulk toe to toe, so his chances against Abom would look even worse

Spoiler:
I think he meant that Hulk was getting his ass handed to him until the very end when Hulk got pissed and started using his brains. And I think he means that eventually Thor might have come out on top had he used his other powers--eventhough he was somewhat handicapped by being on the helicarrier and wanting to calm Hulk down.

I go see it sunday. One of my favorite character is Thanos. How is he, in the movie?

34 hours 21 minutes! This is killing me. 😠

It's just a cameo. Don't go to the movie expecting some bad ass Thanos scene.

Im a Thor fan and I wasn't disappointed at all. He had feats throughout.

Spoiler:
His fight with Hulk. He went toe to toe with him without his Hammer. Iron man couldn't have done that and even if he could (Hulk Buster armour) it just wouldn't have been the same.

Plus there was that Lightning strike smashing one of those Serpent ships.

And his were some of the damn funniest scenes in the movie.

The movie wouldn't have been the same without

Spoiler:
His fight with the Hulk.

In all fairness they had to tone him down.

He's so powerful he could make the rest of the Avengers seem moot.

He could have

Spoiler:
redirected that missile instead of Iron man, and done all the smashing instead of Hulk

But then it would just be a Thor movie, not Avengers. Plus they know Iron man and the Hulk are the most popular and recognisable Marvel characters on the team, so the best way to sell the movie was to capitalize on those 2 characters.

Actually, that's the point, he got toned down too much.

Spoiler:
sure, he did beat a few of those giant flying fishes with his lightning but as a Thor fan, whats the first thing that goes through your head? let me guess, why didn't Thor fly through them with his hammer? which is his MO after all. they could have mad it that hulk and thor taking on those giant fishes with their awesome strength and power while the other guys took on the nasty alien army.

then there's this other scene where thor takes out some other aliens

Spoiler:
why the hell did he have to land on the chariot thing? he should have just smashed it, then they fly straight at a fishy and Thor is lost in the scene. lame

Though I do understand that powers had to be toned down for the movie, but come on, instead of toning down powers, just make the battle even more epic.

For a main stream marvel, this movie is a downer honestly, but if this were ultimate marvel universe, then its about right.

If you were expecting a better movie than what we got then you must have stupidly high standards imo.

Who cares how powerful Thor is? Remember that

Spoiler:
he's fighting wounded in that last battle anyway.

ATTENTION EVERYONE

If you are in the U.S. we get an extra after the credit scene only to be released in the U.S. from what I hear

i am definitely staying put after all credits on saturday

21 hours 37 minutes...

Spoiler:
I think the Thor vs Hulk fight wasnt a bad showing for Thor since he couldnt use his best attacks against Hulk because they were on the Helicarrier so he had to hold back

In the scene after the credits .. We see that the

Spoiler:
emperor of the Chitauri is QUAN !!

F'ing awesome!!!!!

I'm always more concerned with them making a damn good movie than having the perfect power sets.

With that being said

Spoiler:
Thor was shown to be the most powerful on the team, and he had greater strength feats in this than he had in his own movie. Considering even in his own movie he clearly wasn't the equal of his comic counterpart, I really don't see the problem people have here.

Compare that to the big screen adaptations of Green Lantern and the Silver Surfer. Both had their full comic book power set, but in very poorly done movies. So who cared about the power set?! Same with Ang Lee's Hulk for that matter.

On the other hand if we look at the Classic Incredible Hulk series with Lou Ferrigno.. The Hulk probably wasn't much stronger than movie Spiderman or Captain America in that show.

And yet it was one classic series!

Avengers Imo had

Spoiler:
the perfect balance of Power sets without compromising the quality of the movie

Just 10 hours. The final count down!

Just Watched The Avengers I enjoyed the Movie. Glad Marvel did not mess Thor up to bad.

the most epic scene in the movie is when Thanos smile..

well it wasn't a huge scene but I thought it was cool! So if you didn't get to see it I wouldn't worry about it but if you do you should stay for it!
