Damn! Just Damn! That was great n all the characters n their interacting was dead on IMO. Joss Whedon knows his trade n his comics. I knew it'd be epic when I heard he was doing it. When true fans of the characters do it it always is. ex. Nolan, Favreau, Rami, well if u excuses 3 but I blame Sony for that mess!

^ NO! That is not acceptable! I demand to see that extra tid bit too!!!! LOL!!But then again, I've already seen The Avengers twice already lol!
on a side note, what is the highest grossing marvel superhero movie to date and how much did it make? right now, the avengers is nearing $300M around the world and still hasnt been released in the US. so says yahoo 😛
Spiderman 3 was the previous Marvel highest. With 890mill. I'm almost certain Avengers will pass that. But note that figure's probably close to a Billion in today's terms.

Lol it was everyone's least favorite.
But S2 was so good and the trailer for S3 looked so awsome and plus there was a bit of waiting time since S2 ended on a cliffhanger. So there was just too much hype built up for that movie.
Besides it was the sort of film kids will take their parents to watch again and again. Kids don't care that there was no character development or proper build up to each villain. They just want to see Spidey swing around fighting 3 different CGI Villains Lol.
I loved so much about this movie but when
Spoiler:and
banner said I'm always angry turned hulk and punched the leviathan My mouth dropped.
Spoiler:Though I would have loved
when hulk sucker punched thor I laughed so hard I got teary eyed
Spoiler:They obviously worked really hard on this movie! It was very well done and if anyone still has not seen it and is worried....well you shouldn't be because I know that not everyone has the same opinion but I will say all this good hype is not just hype! The first after credit scene
stan lee's appearance more if he was the old man that stood up to loki but still it was great for what it was!
Spoiler:The second after the credit scene
with Thanos was awesome! not just the scene but how good he looked as well imo
Spoiler:
was funny at best but it really wasn't anything important just everyone eating at the place Iron Man saw at the end of the movie.
Saw it last night - it gets the Better Than Sex rating from me, the first comic film probably since The Dark Knight to get that!
💃
I was pretty happy with Thor's portrayal, in particular showing his resistant to injury and shrugging off attacks. He took a little bit of a backseat to Hulk, but I understand why; Hulk needed a character arc to show he could be a trustworthy member of the team who could be valuable in the fight. Just like Iron Man needed to show he could be a team player as well. Thor and Cap were the two square-jawed heroes, so there was less character evolution for them.
The whole film really fires on all cylinders; this is the project Joss Whedon was born to make.
And then the Thanos cameo in the credits made my packed house roar with applause. 😱

Midnight screenings last night, the theatre was full of fans who were in costume. They got all the references and knew who that was in the credits. As the weeks go by, there will be some chatter by non-fans as to 'who was the big purple guy with the sinister grin?'
man that sounds awesome! My theater had nothing of the sort.....including myself id say maybe 5 people knew who that was. In fact the theater was busy but not packed per say 🙁...
I gotta say, I was letdown by the movie. And if you go back and read my posts, I was a HUGE supporter of it before it came out.
My issues?:
1.
Spoiler:
the threat wasn't threatening. In all honesty, the closest Hawkeye came to dieing was when he repelled down and crashed through the windows. I never for one moment believed that anything other than Loki himself (who also was more of a joke) was a viable threat to the team....or any member of the team for that matter. BW was beating up multiple aliens....HAND TO HAND. Sorry, not impressed.
2.
Spoiler:
I was not happy how they treated Thor's character. Sure, Hulk needed a good film showing A HELL OF A LOT MORE than Thor, and honestly, Joss Whedon just made the greatest film Hulk to date. However, Thor probably shouldn't have even been in the movie. He didn't accomplish much at all, except look bad fighting Iron Man, Hulk and cap...and standing around clinching his fist while everyone else was fighting....I mean honestly, What the HELL was up with that. Forget power levels, I just want to think that the so called "Protector of Midgard" would do a little more for his planet than stand around letting everyone else do all the work... REALLY disappointed with Joss and Marvel for Thor's overall effectiveness.

Spoiler:
So many things just felt forced. Agent Colson's death for instance. It was very anti-climactic. I didn't want him to die, but when he did I wasn't emotionally devastated. And I have a hard time believing everyone else would be too. Hell, he was more of a thorn in the side of Tony Stark than a friend. I could go on and on here...but
4.
Spoiler:
The aliens were not only not intimidating (point 1), but they were also completely LAME. They looked lame, they died incredibly easy, and they required so much CGI I thought I was watching Transformers during the last actions scenes.....HOWEVER, at least this film had a rampaging Hulk smashing stuff...so there is that.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie overall. I just expected a better movie, with a more compelling enemy. Loki was "adequate" in his role, but certainly a huge step down from his performance in Thor.
I'd give it a 7.5-8/10.
I was hoping for a 9 though at least.

Lol I actually Loved it! And I actually do think it deserves to beat TDKR now! And most likely will!
Oh how things change 😛
Yes
Spoiler:
Thor didn't do much but I felt his action scenes were the most exciting. Fight with the Hulk, and escaping the Hulk prison. Also the "He's adopted" was one of the best lines in the movie Imo. Completely cracked me up
Also I always Loved TIH with Norton but never got a sequel. So with Hulk highlighted in this one I felt like I finally got that sequel. Hulk Smash!
I actually give it a 10/10. Up there as one of the best superhero movies of all times for me along with Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Iron Man and X-Men: First Class. Not in that order.
