Ripley and The Space Marines (Aliens) vs The Predator

Vasquez droolio

I know I said it already, but DAMN droolio

Where does this fight take place?

Like someone said earlier, if its the entire marine unit, then I would say the marines would win.

Also depends heavily on the environment IMO. If it's in a compound type facility, marines win. If in the jungle, then its a huge advantage to the Predator.

She might be even finer in near dark.

No way man, take that back.

Weapons...weapons....weapons...

To make sure that there is no screaming match over who has what, here is a rundown on the weapons that the Colonial Marines possess.

1. M41A Pulse Rifle - standard assault rifle. Standard ammo is steel-jacketed and explosive-tipped.

2. M240A1 Flamethrower - standard flamethrower. Ripley has this taped to her pulse rifle. Badass.

3. M56 Smartgun - Vasquez and Drake are holding these babies. Uses same ammo as the pulse rifle.

Hicks also got his sawed-off shotty for 'close encounters,' in place of his sidearm, while the others are armed with M4A3 pistols

As mentioned, the Pred has his standard gear.

And did anyone else notices how James Cameron reuses actors in his movies?

Because Michael Biehn is bad ass. ✅

My vote goes to the humans.

The Yautja are bad ass, but just one against a platoon of Space Marines? Nah. Preddy gets turned into swiss cheese. Just look at what Arnold did to the first Predator in the jungle with some mud and a tree.

But you gotta admit that Biehn gets the short end of the stick in most of his movies. He dies in Terminator 1, Clockstoppers and recently, Planet Terror.

As for the James Cameron Alumni, I've dug around and here's what I found:

1. Bill Paxton: Aliens, Terminator 1, True Lies, Titanic
2. Micheal Biehn: Aliens, both Terminator flims
3. Jeanette Goldstein (Vasquez): Aliens, Terminator 2, Titanic
4. Lance Hendrikssen: Aliens, Terminator 1

and that's off the top of my head

I just realized...

Did gaz, from CoD4, take that shotgun line from Aliens 2?

I was playing the ship level in CoD4 yesterday and he whips out a shotgun and says he likes to have it for close encounters. Than someone else says "I hear that".

Homage, no?

i always wondered why half of the Aliens cast was in Near Dark.

Without motion detectors the Marines don't have a chance. So i'll give this to the Predator.

Well, again I ask, do they have an idea what awaits them?

I remember that too. Looks like the guys in CoD4 are either Aliens or James Cameron fans.

Either way, it's a fitting homage for the movie which scared me as a kid.

No, dude. In this scenario do the Marines have an idea that a Predator awaits them?

Doubtful. The Yautja are silent stalkers.

Just to be sadistic, I'll stick Gorman back into the fray...just so Ripley and the space marines can witness Gorman getting blasted to shit by Pred's shoulder cannon.

And I'm talking about the blast that left a hole in Ventura's torso in Pred 1.

AS....THE...MARINES.....APPROACH.....THE....PLANET........DO....THEY....KNOW.....WHAT.......AWAITS....THEM....INSIDE?

Do the Marines know that a hostile alien is hunting them, Snafu?

^

Yes - They Win

No - They Win

Hey btw, did you know originally in the movie they were going to include sentry guns in the film, but later deleted it? That would've been so awesome.

If the Marines know a Predator is inside and prepares for it, they likely will win. If taken by surprise, as they were in the movie, they are dead.

Nope. They think that this is a rescue mission, as is in the movie.
