You do know what movie I'm talking about, right?
Yes, though it is hard to see, that's what I was referring to in my post with the word "now". His earlier movies such as Bill and Ted's... and Devil's advocate got him into some of his bigger roles which is why I made my comment.
Our standing as a country on this planet has now shot up. Overnight.
The world is applauding us, here in the u.s.
And it's probably only the beginning. I think we're in for a lot more than we think.
Hopefully Obama, on behalf of the u.s., will be able to install confindence and credibility onto american people and the global community in the coming month and years.

This will be a thread to discuss the upcoming four years with the president.
Questions to ask?
-Where will we go from here?
-How will the Iraq war end?
-Do you believe this is for the better?
-Will Biden's prediction of a crises in the first 6 months be true? Opinion?
-Your thoughts?Happy Four Years coming guys, and Merry Christmas... Your big gift? Obama. Your stocking stuffer? Joe Biden.

And I was thinking last night: as an individual, Barack Obama certainly seems way more solid than our Presidents of the recent past. He just doesn't seem like he'd ever pull a Clinton on us and sleep with a Monica Lewinsky. He doesn't strike me as the type of guy who even drinks or plays golf, not that golf is a bad thing, but I always question the integrity of a President when you see them on the coursed every weekend. Maybe I'm wrong, but he really does seem like a good solid man who will work hard constantly for us, the people.

Interesting bit that I believe tailors really well to each candidate: At the end of McCain's speech, his team blasted Hans Zimmer's Crimson Tide theme. After Obama's speech, Trevor Rabin's Remember the Titans theme music began playing. That discrepancy in theme says something to me about McCain and Obama.

Yeah, though some of that is likely used for electioneering. Overall, though, I have faith that majority of that outlook can be applied to his everyday life.Interesting bit that I believe tailors really well to each candidate: At the end of McCain's speech, his team blasted Hans Zimmer's Crimson Tide theme. I certainly agree with that. I am from Northern Ireland and I have watched every bit of election footage I can on the bbc website and I am sure I aint the only european who followed this presidential election with such interest.
I am glad Obama won if I was a yank provided I wasnt brought up with any kind of political indoctrination lol(just joking) I would have most likely voted for him. Of course this is all from a outsiders perspective and I hope I dont irritate or offend americans by saying so but I am sure your well aware of how the bush administration is portrayed in most of the media, mainstream within the international community which quite frankly not a nice portrayal for obvious reasons. (read all michael moores books too well funny and quite informative)
Obama himself I would compare to kennedy the guy appears to be a great orator and a man of vision. Ok the experience argument was used against him alot which confused me cause George W seemed to possess the intelligence of a chimpanzee yet held the office of Commander in Chief. In fact all Obama has to do is surround himself with capable people and I am sure things will definitely look up for america and the west provided he isnt sabotaged at every turn by inter party bickering at a time when such things would do no one any good. All in all I must admit in his excellent victory speech I could have been in the past been accused of being one of them cynical foreigners but that speech bloody killed me lol...I was so moved it was so good that it has me rooting completely for america I nearly understood your deep patriotism watching it and I am sure it will reasonate with many worldwide.
PS> guy who wrote it should get a bonus!
