Someone tried telling me a joke.

What do Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, and Obama have in common?

... nothing yet!

I told the person not to talk to me ever again, though that was not the only reason. doped

Hahaha, oh my god...that is pretty funny though.

I think one has to differentiate between an obvious joke and the actual straight on belief.

I had to explain to my anthro prof the difference between racist jokes made ridiculing the idea vs embracing it...

apparently some people don't πŸ˜‰

(I did smile at the joke too)

Can't help but feel Rex was a little extreme in banning him (in real life) for it.

Well, it might just have been the camel's back breaking thing....or something.

And, maybe it wasn't just funny for the guy for the more obvious humor reasons, but for actual racism.

You always have to be the devil(s) advocate, don't you.

I think hes a self aggrandising, ineffective git bereft of any courage, clue or warmth and his party under the leadership of his beloved Tonyness have sold us out to the bureaucrats.. and they are cut from the same cloth, ultimately.

πŸ˜› Oh well it wont be a problem when the next generals come around.

IF he doesnt bottle out of that one too.... πŸ˜–hifty:

You think that's why it is still sometimes viewed as that today?

The view today still originates from the One Drop policy, like Phantom Zone said.

Hmm, I dunno, I think it's not really whether there was a black person in someone's ancestry now, but whether you can see it in the appearance.

It refers mostly to the USA...though do you know how it was decided in South Africa who's black and who isn't?

Put a pencil in their hair, shake head...if it stays in they are black. If it falls out, they are white.

Never fails...
