Nothing was stated in Justice League of America 30 that it was about the unknown properties of the shadow moon but it's mass and speed of it's impact. The moon you're talking about is not as massive as 81 billion tons moon, shadow moon or whatever kind of moon, what matters most is it's mass. Modern Age-Superman can't destroy an 81 billion tons moon without flinching. And his heat beam can't destroy an 81 billion tons moon because without relativity, he can't do it. It was a interview along with a bio that he made right beside it and it was made for the infinite crisis book, it was matching superman powers up against other villians/heroes.
