well, it doesn't really matter if the attack was kryptonite or not, superman still easily survived an attack that killed another kryptonian. whether the attack was kryptonite based or not, it doesn't change that fact. either way, it clearly shows that superman > other kryptonians.

Well assuming it was a Kryptonite attack, then I would blame it on Superman having built up a natural tolerance to it. Over the years, his gotten and more and resistant to it really. Maybe like humans build up resistance to toxins, Superman build up a resistance to Kryptonite? Would make sense in my opinion.

There really shouldn't be any reason that would mean "Superman > Kryptonians". I mean since apparently Kryptonian's immediately gain all their powers extremely quickly in the Sun unlike Clark, and since absorbing Solar radiation longer doesn't mean anything apparently, he shouldn't be any different than the average Kryptonian (Outside of experience.). That's really emphasized in New Krypton. Him being no more than an ordinary citizen there.

superman has also gotten stronger over the years. it could be argued that his constant exposure to the yellow sun has raised his base level of power higher than that of other kryptonians. also, we know that good ol' supes always holds back.

Like I said, when fighting other Kryptonian's it doesn't seem like the fact that he has been in the Sun longer means his stronger. I don't see why it wouldn't as Superman got stronger and stronger as he has grown but it doesn't seem that way. He does hold back.

There are a lot of contradicting statements. At first it was presumed that Superman keeps getting stronger and stronger as he keeps getting exposed to the sun. However, since WONK, that seems to have changed. All the Kryptonians are almost as strong as Superman. The only difference I was see between them is how different humans can be. Just because we are both human doesn't mean we can both pick up 150lb with one hand. There is still difference, and I'd say Superman is the slightly stronger one.

It's not what happened actually.

When Supergirl and GL tried to break the forcefield Darkseid was OK (issue 5)

When Superman broke it, Darkseid was already shot by Batman in issue 6.

We don't know if Supes could break the shield either had DS not benn shot by Batman.

How does DS being wounded and fine change the defensive ability of the force field??

also he might be holding back to fit in more more in new krypton, because he still seems better then most of them to me. Just like he's being written down.

Yes that seemed to be the case. Maybe it still is and for plots sake Kryptonian's become fully powered instantly in the Sun.

I don't see why Superman should be stronger than the average Kryptonian male unless the argument is "HIS SUPAHMAN". They really shouldn't be any reason as the fact that he has absorbed Sunlight longer doesn't seem to matter. They even emphasize in New Krypton that Superman isn't different from the average Kryptonian male etc. in terms of power.

Well by different humans if you mean height, age, gender etc. then it should apply, yes. The average male should obviously be above the average boy and so on even on Krypton. Although when they reach maturity I don't think different body types etc. apply to Kryptonian's to the extent it would to humans. At least from not what I understand. It still applies to adults though when needed. Non seems stronger than other Kryptonian's. It's still difficult to form a basis for a system as to judge Kryptonian's as they aren't really human.

I don't know. It seems that Humans and Kryptonians are alike in every way except they can have photosynthesis on a huge scale. So I believe it's okay to compare them. Like Humans, they should be a prime physical kryptonian who is stronger then a unfit kryptonian. Superman looks like he is in the prime condition.

The only way Kryptonian's are like humans is in appearance really.

If the Zod on the other Earth is valid his a perfect example. He wasn't in his Prime, and he was able to go toe to toe with Superman as I recall. That would be an example of the fact that when a Kryptonian reaches maturity they remain around the same level of power for the most part. Except the gender differences. Men > Women.

Joking right?

Unless you suggest that DS (or any other character - except maybe someone like Sebastian Shaw) get stronger when shot with a bullet designed to kill him it's obvious that DS was WEAKENED after he was shot.

Yeah people, there's no difference between Superman and the average kryptonian...

😐

Why would he be? I'm surprise he isn't but what reason would there be for him to be above the average male Kryptonian like him. I mean outside of him absorbing Solar Radiation longer and more experience with his powers(And I recall him being called the healthiest new born on Krypton once.), why would he be, besides the reason "HIS THE SUPERMAN!!!!". I mean it's even emphasized in New Krypton.

Not saying he isn't. Just wondering why he would be.

It seems like your contradicting yourself there. “Other than him being more skilled and having absorbed more solar energy” Is the reason why he is better than other kryptonians. It’s like saying other than Batman being smarter and having better MA than other human what makes him more powerful? Those are the reason why he is more powerful. Also the fact that Superman was hinted to be the descendent of Rao God of Krypton.

What Kgkg said. He has absorbed solar energy for a lot longer than any of them have and on top of that, his direct showings against them have him as being superior on all accounts. I'd like to add that Superman's wasn't suggested to be the direct and last descendent of Rao, but flat-out stated to be. He also holds back, a lot, which is the main point on why Supergirl was thought to be stronger than him but eventually was proven to be inferior.

I'm not.

Like I said in my earlier posts, apparently the fact that he has absorbed Solar Radiation longer doesn't seem to be a reason for why he would be stronger than other Kryptonian's. Him being no more than an average citizen on New Krypton is emphasized. So outside of that possible reason, which does not seem to apply any more as far as I can tell, why would he be stronger than other Kryptonian's? A legit reason outside of him being Superman.

Having more experience doesn't make him more powerful but more efficient and skilled. Power =/= Skill

Was DS even creating that shield?

He is, I'm pretty sure he holds back to be more like them, because he wants to fit in with there society. What he is capable of is way above what most of those other krytpnions have shown.

Speculation.

Dude, of course no Kryptonian can match Superman's feats. Superman has more showings than all the Kryptonian's put together.
