you liked pro evo 2009?...i haven't liked a pro evo game since 2 on the ps2...
i've noticed that it simply depends on when you ask the question depends on the answer you get....gears 2 is being voted top because it's the game of the moment...if you'd asked a week after GTA4 game out...it'd be top of the poll...same with any of the games there

i do like 09, very much so... mainly because its alot tougher to play than the previous ones... when a goal goes in, i really feel like i've done well...

How is Gears 2 the "game of the moment", when MKvDC, Tomb Raider: Underworld, and Call of freakin' Duty 5 came out at the same time?

2 of those games are shit...1 is shit compared to it's predecessor
gears 2 is the game of the moment because it's the one everyone seems to be shooting their proverbial loads over
it happens in all entertainment mediums though...the greatest example of late being that hundreds of people proclaimed the dark knight to be the greatest film ever...and looking back on it now...seems rather silly...
same with GTA4....everyone lauded it then...looking back on it now, everyone's rather disappointed by it.
it just happens to be gears 2's time....

i was a diehard pro evo fan...but this console generation's pro evo games have just disappointed me tbh. i think, graphically, they are almost identical to the ps2 generation and that there has been very little innovation.
granted i did like the legend mode but it's also old...i remember playing something almost identical in ISS 2000 on the N64....and that was actually alot more fun

360 > ps3. you havent been playing it on ps3 have you?
Just to bring the topic back to GOTY...
I'm not calling Fallout 3 GOTY until they patch that game, because i have come across two serious glitches, ones not so much of a bother but another one is, and has unfortunately happened to one of my saves.
If we get a patch that corrects these glitches, fixes the jumping mechanics, reduces the slow down on using the pip boy/drawing out weapons, and allows the player to go past level 20 then I'd consider it, but those and the two serious glitches (being able to see C4DS like effects that black out the screen, I've had that twice, and a new glitch where i can no longer fire my weapon or if i choose a melee one ans attack it won't stop attacking...) then i can't consider it for GOTY.
Also there should have been more quests but DLC is apparently going to fix that.
