Sentry is shown to have control over molecules like MM and start to use it against MM. Sentry tells him to put everything back the way it was because he doesnt know how to yet or he would kill him. owen does what he say because he is in so much pain and doesnt want to die. MM puts everything back the way it was and then Sentry make him explode seemingly killing him. Sentry then goes on to tell that he can control the molecules of his world.(whatever that means) and that he cant die. And then later they show osborne in his room going crazy fight with green goblin in his head. You then see on the last page that Loki in standing behind osborne manipulating him somehow.
Not sure if thats good or bad. Why would they make him even more powerful?
So in order to fix the forced jobbing that happens in almost every storyline he is involved in, they make him.. more powerfull ? In fact, that's an understatement. They upgrade him from a "top tier" to "overpowering Molecule Man at his own game".
It's pretty funny but I guess him stalemating Galactus is a feat..

i have a feeling void is gonna take full control and end up being one damn powerful villain....then you will have the struggle between the sentry and void...sentry wins and saves the day...or...
void takes control and ends up being an uber supervillain for siege...and stays one even after siege...good way to get the character of this power off the avengers.... and can give them options for later comic appearances and they can alway bring sentry back whenever they want just by have im gain control back...see him a villain for awhile might work well

My theory about the Sentry/MM fight:
The Sentry's defeat of Owen, I think, was not because the Sentry is actually more powerful, overall. Rather, his control over his own molecules is greater than Owen Reese's is. Molecule Man couldn't beat the Sentry because he's basically powerless against him. It's similar to, say, pre-Kyle Rayner Green Lanterns. Hal was powerless against a yellow piece of cardboard, that cardboard is certainly not more powerful than him. While MM couldn't do anything to Robert, Robert certainly couldn't match his power.

IMO the serum has nothing to do with his power. I bet it would be shown to be Osborn's way of having him under his control
