I mentioned that Warlock was dead... and it really has no bearing on Thanos being turned to stone. It's not like Superman had any prep for his scenario vs Blaze either where he was in a far worse scenario.

A spell from Warlock still took him out, while early Supes powered through a skyfather in her own dimension and Dominus active reality manipulation in battle. Supes has also done better than that recently. 🙂

Just saying. Given that Thanos has had 2-3 upgrades since, and took some serious reality manipulation after that (passive or not, the Nexus of All Realities is a big deal), it probably has no bearing on him now. I think Magus or Goddess also attempts to warp him and fails, but I'm too lazy to go and check. 😛

I'll never deny that Thanos has been upgraded, but part of my debate is that Superman has been upgraded a few times since his Byrne days as well.
In a lot of scenarios...Superman just has better showings. If Thanos had even 1/5 of the material that Superman had, his showings would average out a heck of a lot more too.

When they first met...Dominus owned Supes...just like Maker owned Thanos. Heck, if she actually used her full power...that fight would have been milliseconds long.

It's not a passing through reality. It's powerful reality manip that caught Supes by surprise. There is really nothing that Thanos has that even remotely compares. His best feat is the one you have already thrown on the table.

I see your point. For instance, in the 12 issue Thanos mini alone he had a lot of good feats. (Galactus, Maker, for example.)

It was pretty good. IMO Thanos sucks as a villain. He's much better off and far more interesting as a cosmic Batman of sorts.
