I've done nothing of the sort and I wish you'd cease with your mindless prattle. You made an incorrect assertion when you said that Amazo exerted himself downing Superman. He does it three times in two issues and nowhere is that mentioned. The evidence was posted and supports me, so you were wrong on that. I've shown other evidence (Ruin arc) which shows Superman being dropped by red solar radiation there, too. Furthermore, every single reader of Superman ever knows that one of Superman's weaknesses is red solar energy. Another is Kryptonite. Genis and (probably) Surfer would be able to replicate both. Surfer's blasts can destroy a planet, while Photon's powerful enough to tear holes in the fabric of reality. Again, he draws his power from the Big Bang itself as well as Entropy, and everything inbetween. A K-nite or red sun blast from either would drop Supes immediately.

I believe the word you were looking for is 'impartial.' Freudian slip?

Anywho, realistically Photon is capable of soloing team two.

That's him taking out multiple people by inverting their molecular structure. No one on team two has a defense against that - but for argument's sake lets say that he only decides to take out Diana and J'onn with that attack. That leaves Superman, whom he would be able to drop with a K-nite or red sun energy blast. Or a BFR to the Microverse. Or even tearing a whole in space and sucking him through it. And there are other ways for him to solo, too. As Photon he's also capable of creating stasis fields, so he won't have to fight each opponent at the same time. Luckily, he's got SS to back him up, and both are more than capable of holding their own and overpowering team two.

And hey, no one on team two is capable of BFR. How exactly do you propose they take Genis out, anyway? He had his throat slit with an adamanium blade and healed it by folding space around the wound. Didn't give any indication that it even hurt. He gets his arms and legs and head cut off and was still alive with again, no indication of being in pain at all. They needed to disperse his parts across various timelines in the Darkforce dimension to ensure he didn't pull himself together. He's pure photonic energy. They can't harm him.

Team One wins.

By the way - if all any of you team two proponents can throw out in defense of your point is claiming that Supes doesn't have a weakness to red solar energy or K-nite, or simply say, "T-vo for the win," then don't even bother replying to this post. I won't waste my time replying to you.

He used a boom tube, actually. Anyone who says otherwise is very, very mistaken. The boom tube animation is clear as day, even signified by the "BOOM!!" line across the panel, the yellow circular opening ahead of Superman as he flies into the portal, etc. Exiting is the same animation.

Superman was also prepped for the fight, and was fighting Darkseid (who carries a boom tube on his person at all times.) Which explains why he was able to pull this off.

wait. its just basic teleportation?

oh... i thought it was something else...

basic teleportation would work on superman, obviously...

I think so. I mean I'm no expert on Genis, but to my knowledge all he does is teleport them to the Microverse.

Not really. I don't know if you've noticed, but there aren't all that many people who are willing to go head to head with me in a thread featuring Surfer(for an extended period anyway) so I'll take what I can get to pass the time while I'm waiting for someone solid. Even the best MA's in the world have a punching bag at home to work out on after all...

I know, but that'll just lead to a different debate that's essentially a waste of time and I don't want the thread being derailed. Even if it was a speed feat like he claimed, he was sun amped when it happened so it has no relevance to this particular fight.

If need be genis could actually conceal himself for the whole fight by bending space and time around himself while destroying the opposing team. they woudnt be able to see him or even touch him.

Please don't urge on the Supes fanboys. They'll probably give that reasoning.

I'm sure it is in someone's dictionary.

I'm sitting out of this one. Good battle though.

🙂

Avlon I want your unbiased opinion.

This thing went up like 10 pages since the last time I saw it.

It is a good battle. By statements, Photon should be the most powerful incarnation of Genis. But he was only in 11 issues or so and doesn't have many feats. Plus he is more merciful than in some other forms - much like classic Surfer and Supes. Doesn't really have that killer instinct.

He also licks nutsack.
