The PT novelisation sof AOTC and ROTS are better in fact.

I don't know where to find them. They're not in any bookstores now (well, here anyway - and when they were here they cost - well, too much for me)... so.. I guess i would have to keep on scouring second- hand stores...

Amazon

I can read. its just that... what sweers said:

I wanna try though - i wanna see if the novelizations made the "experience" better, or if they're just... bad.

but yeah - i have the movies, have watched it so many times... so why bother, right?

I have read a few, they are VERY close.

Right, but in movies is hard to have actors talking to themselves. And it would be creepy. lol

True, so the filmmaker, who told the novelist the story he should write, should find other ways to transfer the inner world. Good lines come in handy, room to act properly as well.

inner world can be shown through yep, good lines and good acting... facial expressions are really handy too...

lol, actors talking to themselves... maybe they should just put it in the movies like, the actors voices speaking in the background commenting on what is happening... then they'd have a slew of voices speaking in the background when all the actors are on screen... >.<

I suppose. Inner worlds may give characters depth, but it isn't totally necessary and maybe that is why Lucas scraped them.

WIthout inner world there isn't much to act with. Then you can only deliver lines. There should always be an inner world. If the script doesn't contain hints, or if the director has no clue, an actor has to make it up for himself.

Hmm. Well count Episode I Anakin out of an inner world. Unless his inner world involves looking like he is reading when acting.

My point exactly.

Other than that I really have no beef with that movie other than Jar Jar a bit.

It's major missing element... it might have made JarJar bearable.

Right.

Okay, that may have been asking a bit much. 😉

I know ^^

...maybe we should give Jake Lloyd a chance, he's just a kid?

....nah, I've watched younger kids act better than him. *sigh* i thought he was a cute kid, though...

still, they should've chosen better in the auditions - but we never know, maybe the other dude is worse... or not... who knows...

He was, he most certainly was. Shame they never made a life size action figure of him. With multiple points of articulation of course.
