Go read the whole topic again. I have hardly gone on and on in a negative way. If you noticed, I've contributed quite a lot of Halloween II information in this topic for others who may not have seen it and put up some of the first trailers.

Where I have mentioned what Myers looks like etc, was jokey banter with/towards others in this thread who have no problem with it because they know it's lighthearted.

When you say things like 'It's going to be the greatest Halloween film yet', expect comments of differing opinion from people. 😛

Going by Zombie's film making catalogue, it's very very unlikely. That's not to say that I will not give it chance, like I mentioned already in this topic that you have failed to see going by you replies to me.

Didn't seem that way to me, and I stand by that statement. H2 looks so different from any past Halloween film, and I'm not the only one who thinks this movie could be the greatest of them all so far.

I wish Rob would go back to making music, maybe even tour over here - even nicer would be a reformation of White Zombie. That's not saying I don't like his films (I thought House was fantastic) but as a music fan I'd love to see him back where he belongs.

I remember listening to Rob Zombie and White Zombie, got a few of his tracks on my mp3 player. I remember having one White Zombie album, don't know how many they did, but it had the psychedelic spiral design on the front cover.

I've never listened to any of his music. Maybe I will in the near future....

So, who all is going to see H2 opening day?

Is this leading to you mentioning how you're going? sly Well I'm not...chances are I won't go see it, unless I wanna take a date (maybe I'll take MP haermm) or summit...but if not then I'll rent it when the DVD comes out, un-cut and cheaper than the cinema 😎

It will be too much of a crowd, you, me AND Gustave, no no.

If I can get a free preview screening then I'll see it at the cinema, if not, I'll wait for the DVD. I'm not paying £12+ too see it.

I told gustave that you were my new shemale 😛

Meh, I already know how I'm going to see it, and I've heard from a few people over at the Halloween movie forum that the film was great, so my excitement for the film has been boosted.

They did five studio albums (although ones a remix), my advice is if you want their best go for Astro-Creep: 2000.

As for the album you're describing it's La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1.

That's the one I had. I don't think I will be buying anymore of the music though because I'm not a major listener of metal and it's subgenres now, unlike in my teenage years, was nearly all I listened to. I'll take a listen to Astro-Creep soon though because I can listen to the album for free. I remember liking Blood, Milk and Sky off that album.

Can't wait to go see this opening day next week, it looks like it's going to be quite possibly the greatest Halloween movie yet. I'm ****ing pumped for it.

Now that's just pushing it. It looks pretty good, but not the best ever. But that is your opinion.

In my opinion the best Halloween will always and forever be the first one.

I don't think it's pushing it, it's just my opinion. I could be right, I could be wrong, we'll all find out on August 28th.

I agree, although I'm not assuming "best," I'm simply assuming "most drastically different."

It looks like, from the leaked trailer, at least, that Rob Zombie is trying to do something almost entirely new with the franchise. The problem I think people had with H1 was that it was more or less the exact same thing as the original, so the new stuff felt like it didn't fit. If H2 ends up like it's looking like it will, it'll be different enough that the changes to the Michael Myers character will seem more natural.

The first movie wasn't even close to being exactly like the original. I like the remake a lot more than the original, though I do recognize the original is better, but they weren't exactly the same at all.

Anywho, check out these clips from H2:

They weren't EXACTLY the same. The whole first half of the movie was all Zombie, the second half, with Myers stalking Laurie, was Zombie highly influenced by Carpenter.

In H2, it looks like he's not influenced by Carpenter at all, and making something that's almost 100% original, save for the names.

The second half of the film is similar to the original, but still very different. And I've probably already said it but the fact that the new H2 looks so different than any other past Halloween movie is exactly what has me so hyped.

The second half wasn't much similar, it followed the same story but took things in a different direction....went down a different path so to speak. Like Annie for example, she was used I assume to bate Laurie...least it seemed that way, she wasn't choked to death by Mike like she was in the first one. Another example, instead of trying to kill Laurie Mike took her back to his (and her) home and tried to show her they were related. So Mike wasn't going to kill her at first...after she stabbed him though...

Just saw the midnight release. It was not good.

I wanna know how it ends, obviously in spoilers, Davis Bloome I think posted a possible ending that was pitched or made...I wanna know if they used it or not

I read that one possible thing was

Spoiler:
Laurie turning bad, and becomes a killer like Myers...
Please tell me this was a stupid out there rumour.

Why was it not good Backfire? spoilers if needed.
