A proof/argument says more than a quote.And there are quotes that say Mace is the best swordman of the order.I know that there are other quotes that say that Yoda is the most powerful jedi of the order,but argument are still better.

But I´m sorry that I can´t quote my proofs because I read the german ROTS book.

Then by all means translate them.

Oh by the way ,Mace chose himself to fight Palpatine because HE was the best jedi to face a sith-lord and the council agreed.
