I'll be gentle. Fer realz.

I was liking it for the first half. A lot of stuff was cut out that I think would have made the film better. Kudos on that.

However, once they get to Megatron, I'm confused at to what is actually happening in your story.

Yout got the first half right...and I think that's they way it should have been written, for the most part, minus your exclusion of The Fallen being part of the picture.

In all honesty i have never read any of the comics, just watched the cartoons when i was a kid, but at any rate i didn't like the character

and as for my story thanks for the complement, and with the second half, basically megatron is wanting revenge on Sam and the autobots and Prime and needs to harvest the suns energy to make energon to take over the world. It is difficult try and put together a good story involving ass kicking robots , so i thought it would be better if the decepticons somehow simply built a sun harvester machine. Instead of having it in one of the pyramids, which i didn't like.
Oh forgot to mention there would be no constructacons or devastator in this version, cause you know there will be the ruddy dinobots in the next one. both are lame

Oh. Okay. Yeah, that's a fine plot. Makes sense the way you wrote it...by not having The Fallen in there, etc.

Post The myth of "bad word of mouth"
The "audiences hated it because of bad word of mouth" is a myth fabricated lie by haters.

The box office disagrees with you.

Critics do not equal bad word of mouth.

Forums and blogs do not equal bad word of mouth (some online people are so insulated from reality they believe their online universe it actually bigger than than the universe itself).

Bad word of mouth equals a box-office bomb like "Pluto Nash" and these other movies. If TF2 would've had the same results as "The Island" then I would say you haters had a point.

From Paramount's internal exit polling:

Quote:
Paramount's national exit polling revealed several notable facts. While the first "Transformers" film, released in 2007, skewed 60-40 toward men over women, the split in the new film was more even at 54% male, 46% female. More than 90% of those surveyed said the new movie was as good as or better than the first film. About 67% of moviegoers polled said the film was "excellent," an even better score than that generated by Paramount's "Star Trek," one of the year's best-reviewed movies.
So haters, please entertain me with some made facts like how much $$$ this movie would've made if audience "really loved it" or how much money it would've made if critics would've loved it. You guys are really good at making shit up.

I know, eating the shit sandwich sucks, but hey, losers/haters always have to. I know how miserable you must have been while the audience clapped and cheered at the end. I know, it hurts you. That unnerves you. It's alright, go get some Jack Daniels, it's anesthesia for your broken-down soul. I know, it hurts when you guys are given the biggest middle finger of your lives by the movie audience. But In the words of Garland Greene:

Quote:
He's a font of misplaced rage. Name your cliché; Mother held him too much or not enough, last picked at kickball, late night sneaky uncle, whatever. Now he's so angry moments of levity actually cause him pain; gives him headaches. Happiness, for that gentleman, hurts.
Critics and haters have lost touch with what the movie audience really likes and enjoys. Haters and film critics, you and Uwe Boll have something in common: you're clueless.

What TF2 has proved is that critic reviews don't matter. When was the last time a movie rated at 21% was so popular with audiences and is on it's way to become one of the biggest money makers of all time?

Critics usually are like broken pencils, they have no point and are virtually useless. The only difference is that a pencil can be sharpened.

Just remember, in entertainment, money talks and bullshit walks.

It's been nice knowing you.

Oh, and one more thing.... Michael Bay took on all of you.

**** them...

The "real critiques" are paid to lick balls, suck cock and tongue ass...if anything, fans like us are the actual critiques...

we're the people who support the good films and destroy the bad ones, kinda like blade - but we're not slaying vampires, WE'RE SLAYING BAD MOVIES...

The fallen came in at the end of G1. He was someone we'd never hear of well until the late 200s/early 300s..

Very minor in the scheme of things....
On about the level of 'The Last Autobot'.

A minor and shitty assed character imo.

Thats a terrible answer.

So the robot modes on these forms were all identical before this, to allow that..? Their masses all the same...? WTF that sucks.

Well I was right about the lazy assed 'not giving a f*** as long as they get your cash' attitude....

And it STILL doesnt explain the multiples of Megatron who didnt even BOTHER with an earth mode.

lol 🙄

At the time I thought Longhaul and Mixmaster came back because the rest of Devastator got blown to ****. Longhaul was a leg wasn't he? I forgot what Mixmaster became, and Devestator's upper body got blown up. I didn't see any reason for them not to be able to detach.

The forum's suggestion of constructicon copies and Devestator's constructicon parts not having robot forms are also a possibility. In the latter instance, there's absolutely no reason to assume they would have to have the same mass or be identical because the duplicate parts never transform into robots. If they did, and they both transformed into the same robots, then we'd be forced to consider whether or not the Decepticons had like... an assembly line or giant hatchery where they can just pop off clones, should they have sufficient materials.

I would tend to aggree with you that the fans are the true critics, but in the case of Transformers 2, because the first movie was so good and successful, every fan of the original is going to go see it cause you would expect it to be just as good or better. Too bad it was the worst movie of the year.
go check this out you can actually tell who will say they like it and who will say it sucked. before they say anything

Nah man, Devastator was still together. It happened after one of the twins had messed his face up. Devastator was all in one piece 'tilthe railgun.

Well there IS.
Bay outlined thatto make a big enough robot mode for Prime, it had to be that model of Truck.
This is also why Bumblebee is bigger than gernerally portrayed, as he is a bigger car than a VW.
So the robot's size is very pertainent.

haha, everyone of the people that said they didn't like it, was a GUY! lol...

half of those girls looked brain dead tbh, they all thought i was good...

And the guy whos best word he had to say about it was that stuff exploded. Made me lol.

Hmm... I think I remember that. Ah well.

That doesn't mean they have to be the same mass or identical in design. It probably makes sense that they would have a similar build if they chose the same vehicle, but all they have to do is be able to cram themselves down into the proper shape. In theory.

It would have been nice to see them transform into robots. If they had different transformations it proves their adaptability, that they can reconfigure the way they transform to suit the vehicle. If it's the same, then it brings to question if they're clones. But then again, if they can configure the way they can transform, maybe physical form is of little consequence. Maybe there's like an outer layer that can be reconfigured into who knows what and a more permanent, but flexible inner layer, the core of their body.

I see.

I agree.

I think its lazy of themand a natural f*ck up produced by someone "shooting for the edit"...

At the same time, why can't there be multiple sets of the same robot? They're shapeshifting robots. It seems unreasonable to me to fault them for doing something that makes sense in context because I want to see more in-universe references.

Above that, complaining that they're lazy because there are two dump truck robots seems incredibly short sighted considering they brought in 13 similar looking decepticons with no alternate forms as fodder. Though it is reasonable, to maintain the main characters while giving the Autobots something to kill, that seems like it would be the bigger thing to lampoon over duplicate constructicons.

the cement truck in this movie was pretty cool with that cannon mode of his,

and if there are duplicates then there might be another Devastator in TF3, hopefully done better this time around

I think I read somewhere that Soundwave just scanned a few construction alt modes and it was free pickings for those who wanted them. I thought that made a lot of sense. I also remember reading somewhere that constructicon was like a warrior class that only a few 'Cons made, which I guess is neat. I'm looking right now for where I found the links that said that, don't remember if they're official.

Grindor (Blackouts look alike) wasn't a clone in the conventional sense, they simpley build a "new" Decepticon with most of Blackouts carcass...at least, thats what most sources i read say, including Teletraan I - Transformers Wiki.

Cause that'd be some other scifi robot movie concept.

More and more "Hey well why cant they do THIS..." stuff they add on less and less it feels like Transformers.

At least when it was like that with the seekers, you could tell them apart with different colours etc, but this was just confusing and insulting and it rang of, "Hey Im so smug about the fans accepting whatever I put out, that I wont even bother finish editing the movie this time." 😘

Says who? I thought it felt like Transformers. They built robots all the time and half of the Decepticons were jets anyway, which may or may not be an exaggeration.

The only difference is in this case, they wouldn't have the luxury of scanning vehicles with different colorings. Though that probably shouldn't matter on two different fronts: 1) It's just a different color paint and doesn't seem like it'd be a big deal to change it in the scanning process and 2) Vehicle modes to only benefit in hiding from humans since Transformers can all recognize each other in disguise anyway, or at least recognize a disguised Transformer.

The seekers came from a different type of Transformer didn't they? They weren't really all warrior types I didn't think.
