Because Superman is stronger, faster, and more durable than Thanos.
Thanos does well against energy blasters but Superman will ko him very well if Thanos lets him get a hit in. In a comic I say the two will either stalemate or Superman would be shown to be slightly better in the end, but in the beginning Thanos would get the better of Superman since Supes would first underestimate him. Personally, I don't think Thanos can hurt Superman in any way.

faster yes. Stronger and more durable I doubt it. Thanos is more on par with Despero. AND actually thanos has much better durability then despero i might add. Despero has been know to take captian marvel and supes at the same time and beat the shit outta them.
supes goes down hard normal version, as far as CA supes vs thanos with the gem im not sure i dont know enough about CA supes minus he was the most powerful version of supes from what i have seen.

Nah, I wanted to see it, but my cousin saw it. And told me all the stuff they did to the characters that was totally wrong. And apparently they made Wolverine's claws spark and be noisy every time he just touches them together? Which I think was lame.
Looking forward to the Magneto Origins though. Especially after X-Men Magneto Testament.
