The armor was rusted. Also, CA Superman still beat Mandrakk even if he was damaged.

Mandrakk never damaged it, but after Superman uses His Superman HV, then we see he got damaged.

Thanos has taken down more powerfull foes stronger than superman like galactus and the celestials and thanos realy has no major weakness that can be exploited.Superman has a major weakness through kryptonite when you have an easily exploited achillies heel,it dosen't matter how much you can do.

You should also realize that while Superman is instantly adapting, so was Mandrakk. They both were countering each other. THAT was stated.
