Superman wins.

Heat=/=gravity. Basic science kid. Rider just manipulated the gravity of the neutron star, there was nothing physical about it.

There is NOTHING that says he manipulated the gravity, Mr. "Prove It." I can't do anything about your denial. You have to want the help. Don't cry to other posters or hit the report button when you continue to drop turd responses like this.

So you can't even read properly?

What is world mind talking about there?

Even if ure given that (which they didn't), they did not endure the same thing. We clearly see a depiction of Rider pretty much making impact with the neutron star's surface. He had to bend the abnormal gravity by diving into it.

All they experienced was the gravity quake as was mentioned by Drax. They were no where near the neutron star's surface.

I swear with you it's like talking to 2 yr old.

Sure I can, can you?

Worldmine- "Richard, you need to focus your power reserves and fly into it."

When asked by Richard why he wouldn't be crushed, he didn't offer up a super power based solution, he said this: "If I calculate your velocity accuratey, you will bend the star's abnormal gravity and cause a wormhole effect.

He is clearly describing a physical process. Notice his use of the word "if", the implication being that if he does not calculate Richard's velocity correctly, the process would not work.

Finally, the last caption tells us per the Worldmine that he has no choice but to enter the abnormal neutron star to create a hyper-gravimetric wormhole in order to escape to the outside universe. This is significant because you started off arguing that Rider simply opened wormhole which is part of his base power set as Nova Prime, which in fact it is. You went on to say that this act was no different than Icemen frezing water, which is like the difference between lifting a cat and living an aircraft carrier.

But this scene shows that he could not use his normal power to open a wormhole due to the abnormality of the neutron star. Missing that fact made you misinterpret the entire scene...again. Rider did not use any sort of auto power to negate the effects of the neutron star, he used incredible velocity to bend the gravity, making it an unimaginable physical act. Superman-ish if you will.

So technically, you are correct in that he did manipulate the gravity, but not in the manner in which you are implying in an effort to downgrade the act. You are clearly suggesting that he affected the neutron star directly with gravimetric super power- he didn't, and Worldmine explained the process clearly. Everyone else had gotten it.

Who said you can give me something. It was written in plain words.

That was the wormhole making the star material fly. Notice how Rider escapes with none of the star material in his wake which would've been carried away with him in the wormhole if he struck the surface.

You mean bending and manipulating gravity isn't...................manipulating gravity as you told me here?

Stick to one theory kid.

Just answer this, why was there no star material here when Rider emerged from the wormhole.

http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l588/lgunibrow88/Nova/Post%20Annihilaton/EP/Novav407o.jpg

Surely if nova had created a wormhole by striking with the surface of the star, he would have carried some star material with him. Right?

What was written in plain words? That he started a gravity quake that caught Drax and Gams which was shown through illustration?
😂

Lol on ure conjecture that star material has to be carried away with him. This is comics bro.. It don't always work that way. First of all he induced what Worldmind described as a hyper-gravimetric wormhole and not one of his usual stargates (usually in a more controlled environment).
Second, from ure scan he was thrown so far away from everything else which shows the randomness of that hyper-gravimetric wormhole's effects. For all we know star material (if there were even any carried away) got flung all over the place.
How the heck can you apply faulty logic to suit ure argument?

Grasping at straws bud....

Star material 😆

Do you have any clue how ridiculous you proposal it? You are weighing the absence of "star material" over a detailed explanation of what occured on panel, in the panel. Grasping at straws is not a strong enough term to describe what you are doing. Again, everyone but you appears to be clear on what actually happened in the story. Live with that.

That he was getting compressed in the gravity well but Drax and Gamora weren't.

Of course, you are using the same star material being tossed at Drax and Gamora as a proof that Rider collided with the surface but when it came to rider actually carrying that material in his wake as he should've done, the same physics gets tossed out of the window. Nice reasoning there dick rider.

facepalm
Do you know how wormholes work? Its a tear in the space-time which connects two points in space, there is no distance between the star and the place rider emerged. Its not a hyperspace journey.

That's what you're doing.

Well its certainly not more ridiculous than you not being able to read properly.

Do you have anything constructive to say here? If not, shut up.

😆
Who said star material was tossed at Drax and Gamora? Where are u getting that from?

So something always has to be carried when worm holes are involved in comics? Smh...

Like I said. This was a hyper-gravimetric worm hole that was created under abnormal circumstances. It makes your whole reasoning even more faulty. If your worm hole always followed your "worm hole protocols", then where are Drax and Gamora in your scan?

Shouldn't they be right there with Nova? Guess what? The next page shows they were flung 2 whole light years away from Rider.

Wait what is that I smell? Oh that's right! Your "worm hole protocols" going up in flames. blowup

Lol.. 😂

Why don't u just describe what's on panel and not go into something even more useless to the topic at hand?

Star material? Worm hole rules? I mean come on man. U making this too easy.

Good point about Drax and Gamora being flung light years away from where Rich ended up. I had forgotten about that. In fact, next issue shows that he ended up in the RIP where time and space are destroyed, which is the opposite of the crunch, where matter and energy originate.

Abhi; This is an intervention from an E-friend... just stop bro lol...

Because it was showed in the scan?

When you are striking it and creating a wormhole? Yes.

They were not caught in the wormhole.

By the gravity quake.

Lulz.

I'm describing what was there on panel. Explain to me, how does creating a wormhole flings two people lightyears away?

They weren't flung 2 light years away from the vicinity of the neutron star. They were 2 light years away from Rider you foof!

All 3 basically were flung to the end of the universe. The next arc shows Drax and Gamora on the trail of Rider as he finds his way through Knowhere which is located by The Rip (edge of the universe where space-time is collapsing, also where Rider ended up). They eventually catch up to him later on.

Oh btw to answer an earlier question u posed, yeah he tanks a vortex in The Rip and survives being torn apart all at 17% capacity.
I guess Drax and Gamora could have survived the same since you seem to think they tanked that neutron star's full gravity.

You keep falling into traps of ure own making. 😆

Keep em coming. I wonder what other ridiculous notion u'll bring up this time.

Hehehe..

Doh.. Didn't realize u edited ure post and already added infor on The Rip.

Why don't you post the scan for everybody to see what happened there? So they were near enough to be caught in the wormhole effect?

That is all good and dandy but how does that proves that Drax and Gamora were not near the star or how does that prove that Rider struck the star?

Good for him I guess. Without any comparison from a character, its meaningless.

That's just funny. Foof.

You know, it takes more than a "kid" to admit that they are wrong. Remaining stubborn and calling people names speaks volumes. 🙁 😂

You know when I start posting scans u'll feel that much dumber right?

Why don't you just take my word for it.? I'm not in the habit of misinterpreting feats unlike some others.. 😏

Fine when I get home, Ill post some for ya..

Ugh. My general ambivalence towards this forum is on the verge of becoming complete, permanent antipathy... It exceeds the limits of my medication...

Pretty sure I have a scan or two of the combined allied forces of the galaxy trying to bust through that Phalanx barrier, then Nova shows up like a boss with the solution carrying Gamora and Drax in tow, protected by his gravimetric field from the stargate jump and from the overall effects of being in vacuum. Normally they'd need special suits.

Also pretty sure Nova had Gamora dead to rights in his weakened condition. Could've blown her head clean off if he wanted to. They aren't on his level. They didn't tank the same forces at all.
