..........The bullet was faster than the Flashes, and fired from a New God weapon. And if you bothered to read Morrison's interview or have even the slightest bit of insight into Batman's character, you wouldn't be making retarded statements like that. 🙄
I understand the gun was a plot device. Seriously though, I can't recall ds using the ale on anyone he faced though. Did I miss something? I read it in a day.
Originally posted by BadabingI read issue 4 and up in a day months after I read issues 1-3. I get the fact that it was a plot device, but honestly forgot about it being faster than the flashes. You have to understand current Ds is too difficult to debate for or against because it's all speculation.
Quan, stop with your bs. Darkseid was using a host body which was close to death. He wanted the body destroyed. The gun and bullet were specialized for New Gods. You've been told countless times about trying to rewrite events or making false observations about events.
Be grateful, because I did not dig this out for you, Quan.
Without further ado, here's Grant Morrison and the Final Crisis wrap-up interview. And IMO, it only cements his rep as 'The mad scotsman.' And as most of us are aware, insanity and genius are separated by a very thin line. Grant toes both sides.

And here, is the Batman interview from Wizard magazine.

The connection is obvious with Batman breaking his one rule about killing and with the gun, then subsequently dying.
MORRISON: Yeah. Part of Final Crisis also is that you're dealing with gods and the Jack Kirby characters. I wanted this story to be mythical. It's on that scale. It's not meant to be about realism. It's not meant to be about politics and about stuff that's happening on the streets. It's the story about what happens when gods start interfering with life and life becomes mythical.
For me, the root of the Batman mythos is the gun and the bullet that created Batman. So, Batman himself is finally standing there to complete that big mythical circle and to have the image of Batman up against the actual personification of evil and now he's got the gun and he's got the bullet. It seemed to me to work.
I think of these things in terms of music and if it sounds good. The event of Final Crisis has a very different feel because it's about god. It's about human beings drawn into the world of huge mythic events and the archetypes for myths become that much more obvious. So, the very big things that define characters become more obvious as we get closer to the end.
Batman's last word is "Gotcha." What can you say about that? Why is that his last word?
MORRISON: [Laughs] Because he got all evil. What has been Batman's mission all this time since the first gun—the first bullet—that made him? He finally gets the god of evil in his sights and shoots him. I think Batman's got a sense of humor and he knows better than Darkseid. It's almost like a wink to everyone.

Interesting stuff Trick 😎 like the part where Morrison conforms that Radion killed DS slowly and it seems what Superman did was loosen his grip on the Multiverse. Also Onedumb should read this as Grant also confirms DS's presence breaking it, not the ALE.
NRAMA: The Batman/Darkseid scene – what does the death of Darkseid do to the world?
GM: See Final Crisis #7. Darkseid is falling down through the Multiversal structure into a black hole at the centre of Creation, breaking things and disrupting continuities as he goes.

That definitely serves as context.
Also it's not like it's the first time New Gods have used guns, in Kirby's "Hunger Dogs" Darkseid killed Himon with a gun.
Orion also killed Esak with a gun.
