Walter Salles is my choice for best director, he was terrific in the making of Motorcycle Diaries, which in my opinion should win multiple Oscar awards.

I am glad he was chosen for the Dark Water remake, Salles and Connolly together give it a big chance.

Motorcycle Diaries is fantastic, enjoyed it a lot when comparing it to the books. He was co producer of the wonderful City of God also.

Cokes have you checked out Central Station by Salles?

the dude who did XXX was pretty gay!

Favorite Directors:
Steven Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List)
Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs)
Stanley Kubrick (Full Metal Jacket, Barry Lyndon)
Martin Scorcese (you guys are forgetting him) (Goodfellas, Taxi driver)
Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings Trilogy)
George Lucas (Star Wars old version trilogy)

Favorite Producers:
Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs)

Ang Lee (Ride with the Devil!)

I could write all day about why i dont like his films. Mainly coz hes ripped off everything and made a new version of it.
And before you say anything.
(a) It isnt anything new because its all been done before.
(b) No his films are not out of respect of the classic ones, their crap and if his films didnt do so well then he would be classed as a crap director for ripping off everything.

All hes done is taken good films from other countries and made them with american actors. Thats it

😆 good one 😐

All been done before huh...can you explain that in a little more detail...I thought Pulp Fiction was very original, and a great movie.

Stanley Kubrick
Martin Scorcese
Fritz Lang
Akira Kurosawa
Ridley Scott
Milos Forman
Oliver Stone
Steven Spielberg
George Lucas
Peter Jackson
Carol Reed
Orson Welles
Joe Carnahan
Francis Ford Coppola

Peter Jackson

No, I haven't checked it out, but I have seen City of God, Holy Crap that movie was boss. I'm glad someone else besides myself that think that motorcycle diaries should be awarded some awards including best director.

The movie itself was fantastic

Tim Burton
Quentin Tarantino
Stanley Kubrick
Peter Jackson
Francis Ford Coppola
Sofia Coppola

That's all I can think of right now.

the dude who done the resident evil movies (GENIUS)

erm, hold on, ill check who he is .... nevermind, i think its paul anderson

Paul Andersen has a less than stellar track record. Now, I understand that it's simply your opinion, but factually, the guy's a hack, lol.

He made Trainspotting

Bryan Singer and M.Night Shyamalan

Peter Jackson and Tim Burton

I noticed that too KMC!!!!

I mentioned my favourite directors in another topic, but I shall add one that is a big favourite of mine, Ingmar Bergman, fantastic films!
