Oh well, live with it.

*sigh* Fine.

I'm glad to sea some people picked my choices, I was starting to get worried I was the only one! 😄

Anyway my favourites are :-

John Carpenter and David Lynch!

Fave Producer? hmm, i dont think i have one.

SS. J Woo, QT. D Fincher. R Scott. T Scott. M Bay. J Chan. W. Friedkin. J Cameron. B Singer. G Del Toro. R Zemekis

Yes thats your fave love... but i dont have one.

Steven Spielberg
John Carpenter
Wes Craven
Quentin Tarantino
Robert Rodriguez

Joel Silver up untill House of Wax

Has anyone seen a film called Wonder boys? Its really good.

Yep, I enjoyed it. Directed by Curtis Hanson. Who also directed the excellent Hand That Rocks The Cradle.

Curtis Hanson.. ok thanks ive been wanting to know that since i saw it.

Matt Stone / Trey Parker / Quentin Tarentino

David Lynch is probably my favorite, with Tarantino following far behind.

Alfred Hitchcock is the master. Stanley Kubrick is not far behind. Any other directors, I'd have to say Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, & Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind) and George Romero (his Living dead movies) but thats only because they happen to be some of my all time favorite movies.

Ron Howard and Peter Jackson deserve some sort of mention...

Spielberg is in my opinion the best director alive. No one else can boast a lineup that as good as his. With Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Jaws, Raiders of thye Lost Arc, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jurassic Park, Munich, Minority Report, and many other very strong films, no one has been as consistently great as he has. I like Tarantino, but other than Pulp Fiction I haven't been to impressed with him. Resrvoir Dogs and Kill Bill were good but very overated. I have yet to see a Peter Jackson movie that wasn't great, but the only ones I've seen are the Lord of the Rings, King Kong, and Heavenly Creatures.

Spielberg is very overrated, IMO. Not because I think he's a bad director or anything, I just don't see him as the god that the movie industry makes him out to be.

Alfred Hitchcock is the master. Stanley Kubrick is not far behind. Any other directors, I'd have to say Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, & Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind)

Agree with all three, I voted for Kubrick in the poll though, absolutely love his films.

But one of my favourites that hasn't been mentioned is Ingmar Bergman, I adore his work, fabulous fabulous films.

I'm going to say.

Stanley Kubrick, Tarantino, and Ridley scott have many great movies out.

Clint Eastwood deserves an honorable mention for sure.

Well, all of the directors on the list are great directors there's not much argument on that.

On the Taratino subject, sure he hasn't made that many movies, and some may argue that he hasnt made enough movies, but I think, seeing as his movies are hailed by regular people adn critics that he deserves a mention.

Now I may be a LotR addict, but peter Jackson is a great director. All the vision and imagination of Lucas with the scripting skills to match, which although PJ didn't script it all, its superior to most of Lucas' work.

My favourtie director though has to be Chris Nolan. Some may not even like Memento, Insomnia or even Batman begins but i though they were great movies, less so Insomnia, but all were intelligent, humurous and character driven.

I mean Nolan has practically reincarnated Batman and crapped on the ashes of Schmaucher homo erotic fetish fests. Brilliant!
