Because there are only finite amount of Jenova cells able to control the lifestream. Plus DoC. If Sephiroth could take to much of the lifestream then the planet wouldn't be able to function properly and DoC wouldn't happen.

The NL is the L, same feats apply both ways.

They dont apply both ways because the Negative lifestream only works when its absorbing and corrupting with cells, thats the point of it.

No it isn't. The NL == L Just under the control of Sephiroth.

Except the NL is under the control of Sephiroth via Jenova cells.

Which is why its diffrent from the lifestream because the lifestream itself because normal lifestream does not have corrupting cells. Cells that only corrupt lifestream, thus why its worthless agaisnt characters outside FF.

Aren't the Nega-Lifestream just some puffy clouds that gathered above Sephiroth and Cloud when they fought?

Okay, think of a Jenova cell, then lets say just for arguments sake, one Jenova cell worth of base (whatever) is equal to 1 blob of lifestream.

That one Jenova cell worth controls that 1 blob of lifestream. Multiply this to however many Jenova cell base is inside the lifestream and you have Sephiroths NL.

You have now transformed this argument into something completely different.

Minerva has more lifestream then Sephiroth has NL therefore making it more powerful then Sephiroth. (In terms of the lifestream)

Pretty much, funny I dont think they actually did anything at all.

How? Lets go back to out analogy

1 JC == 1 Blob.

1 JC Changes from that 1 Blob to corrupt this other 1 Blob.

The first blob was then lost from Sephiroths control.

Minerva is more powerful then Sephiroth in terms of lifestream, only thing making Sephiroth more powerful is his Jenova abilities and will.
