Miranda is a high tier despite the fact that she is bland, although her overall weapon damage is not great. I for one typically find Zaeed to be one of my more useful squad-mates, his Disruptor Ammo combined with his naturally strong firepower devours shields, and Inferno Grenades are pretty good for taking out armor, and like Garrus, is good for any distance and does pretty good damage.

Truthfully, I really only need squad-mates for just that, taking down defenses I either am not able to or backing up my ability to take out said defenses.

That is why I find people like Jack to be nearly useless, like Jacob she is not good at range, and sure her warp ammo can take out biotic barriers, but you do not find people who have them all that often compared to armor and shields.

QFT.

Miranda was my #1 squadmate. She destroys Shields, barriers and can do decent damage to armor(though being an Infiltrator armor was the least of my worries) Mordin's incinerate was useful against shields when I was being a Sentinel.

Im currently dling Kasumi's stolen memory.

Kasumi is el awesome.

alright well ive beaten it twice once on hardcore once on insanity... ive had my fill... forever (meaning until 3 comes out).

good game.

After 3 playthroughs its enough to put it down. Few games nowadays make gamers replay them, much less 3 times and in my case 4 times.

Might replay it before ME3 comes lol

I'll probably replay ME2 sometime before ME3, but the problem with games with high replayability, I never get the time to play them again, I need to play all these other games first.

Too true. Although there are some games e.g. Bethesda games that are so long and full of content, that one playthrough is all you need.

I stayed on Oblivion, and didn't get 100% completion till all the DL Content came out.

Same thing with Fallout 3.

Agreed

Just to ask I recently bought Mass effect 2 and it should arrive tomorrow, is it worth buying this new DLC (kasumi) or is it best leaving it be?

If you wanna buy it I recommend buying it before you beat it. Therefor you can use Kasumi as part of your party as you beat the game--though ME2 will probably make you replay it at least once, so heh. She is a very nice addition. Her Shadow Strike skill is somewhat OP, and her grenade is very useful. Her recruitment mission is up there with the best ME2 has to offer. It feels very Bondish. She is also fun and has become my fav. human character.

You'll be DLing lots of things for free to boot =)

Does Kasumi continue having conversation options after her recruitment? Or is she like Zaeed in that she just has a few static comments to say on board the ship?

No man. That is the part that sucks. She is kind of fan-service having in-jokes from the community.

Yeah but Zaeed made up for it by virtue of usefulness and ossum.

I've just noticed something about the Derelict Reaper. I think it was mentioned somewhere in Mass Effect 1. I remember in the first ME, I went on this planet that had this myserious giant floating silver orb. I placed the trinket (that I got from Shaira) into a slot and suddenly I get this story about a guy (possibly a caveman) encountering "a giant flying metal being". When the Illusive Man mentioned the Derelict Reaper, he said the Reaper was around when mammals took their first steps.

Been playing through it for the third time.

Really is unbelievable how engaging this game is even after 2 complete play throughs. Still find myself losing hours of my time to this game in the mean time.

Gonna start the overlord expansion this weekend most likely. And this will not likely be my final play through. I'll play at least once more before 3 comes out.

I got too many games to play but I saw some gamplay videos of overload and was like, "hmm, that game was awesome."

I'll probably play it before the third comes out with my bad character from the first game. And probably add all the DLC also.

I started this the other day, and have completed 3-4 mission-type deals so far. I'm playing as a female to give myself some perspective on my female Jedi over in the Star Wars RP forum. It's been interesting.

Anyway, I've already pretty much picked up on the fact that Miranda's a badass in combat (I see others above agree) and also figured out who the potential love interests are, though I probably haven't discovered them all yet.

I can't not be a Paragon. It's too against my nature to be Rnegade. But I seem to be accumulating points in both at about the same rate, despite clearly doing more Paragon actions. That's my only gripe so far. And the first "upgrade" to the assault rifle kinda blows.

If you're trying to be entirely paragon then I feel sorry for you. Renegade is just so much more epic. 😛

I'm not trying, per se. It just sort of happens. I get to a situation and the only reason I'd choose the Renegade option is if I consciously decide "You know what? It's just a video game. F*ck it." I can't actually justify most Renegade actions otherwise.
