Yeah, and here is my take.

Fox is obviously the GLUTTON CASH PIG here...BIG TIME. WB is willing to settle here. But Fox here is wants the film kill. Now, that doesn't traslate to there will never be a Watchmen movie. It means that there will be a future Watchmen movie but with Fox name on it.

Fox are A-holes...because of them The Original Batman series of the 60s hasn't been release on DVD. Warner Bros have been trying to get it to the fans but you cannot get it because Fox again...are A-holes.

Now, why is Fox doing this? because they've witness the reaction and interest of comic book fans. People will pay to see this movie whether is bad or good. Fox wants the cash cow that this film will be bringing.

Since their SHIT Marvel movies like:

Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four : rise of the silver surfer
X-men: the Last stand
Daredevil
Elektra

weren't the cash cow they hope for...they are doing a sabotage for Warner's film Watchmen.

I personally (along with other fans) boycott ANYTHING from Fox until they back down. They're disgusting, immature, and shitty A-holes. This is an act a crooked lawyer would pull.

As I mention earlier, no matter what happens there will be a Watchmen movie done. The question is who will it be? Warner Bros or Fox?

I read the graphic novel when it first came out and now I'm going to re read it. I do look forward to seeing this and I'm sure it will be visually stunning and very good

Here's probably an obvious question, Why do you sign your posts "AC". Is it not enough that we can tell by just reading your calamitous posts that it's you? I gain the feeling that you're the type of guy who'll go to a movie with a group of people, then on the way out during the parade, you're the one who just happens to drench it. But I digress.....

Neither of those are comic book movies. Fox is responsible for turning them into shit to the thanks with the help from Marvel.

If they want a piece of the pie from Watchmen...I don't mind. What I do mind is them acting like shit heads and trying to stop other people from making their own project. It paints them with a thick brush of jealously color. It perfectly portrays them as the money hungry pig corporation. They don't want to settle they want the project stop. As I said before this isn't the first time they pull this shit. They been doing this with the Batman series of 60s. They're anal a-holes and they should be boycotted for their actions.

Well, I know that, as a "retard" (welcome to the politically correct 21st century, folks), my opinion counts for nothing, but Fantastic Four 2 equalled the first film in the shit stakes. Both were woeful films. Doctor Doom was American, the dialogue was excruciating, and the list goes on.
So watch who you call a "retard". Gay. 😐

Well it's a 3 hour flick, and it just so happens that Snyder is a huge fan of the book, as would be anyone who's read it. I think he's capable of pulling off the movie, and judging a film before it's release...That's...cute.

I'm not judging the final product, you would realise that I haven't judged the final product at all, and have not condemned it to even being a shit movie, had you not seen my name and humped the "Reply" button before reading the thread.

I couldn't care less if it's shit or good, the fact that I believe it shouldn't be made, the fact that the book's creator feels it shouldn't be made, and the fact that it will not be a faithful adaptation is why I am against it. Countering with "It could be very good." is missing the point; yes it could. So what? Watchmen doesn't deserve a movie that's "very good", or even "excellent". It deserves to be left as it is.

It won't be, and fine, that's Hollywood, but if you're gonna continue giving me your time after saying I'm not worth it, get my argument correct.

It wasn't, actually.

AC's got a point. But as a fan of the comic I can't help but be excited for it. A shame that Moore feels as he does, and that as such it probably shouldn't be made. Also a shame that many will enjoy the movie but never touch the comic (as with many adaptations). But having read it already, I look forward to hopefully a faithful adaptation. Since I can't control whether it gets made or not, and despite any unfortunate circumstances, I can still enjoy it.

I'll probably end up checking out the graphic novel eventually that and if the movie ends up being good

but overall i will check out the graphic novel eventually but at the moment got too much stuff to read.

Precisely my point.

You'd never have read it anyway, you hadn't even heard of it.

-AC

Well i have heard of it just haven't read it before they decided to make a film from it

but it was a different case with V for vendetta i never read it or hadn't even heard of it when the trailers for that came out back in the day.

Here are Kevin Smith reactions as well as comments:

"I saw Watchmen. It’s f***ing astounding. The Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed prevents me from saying much, but I can spout the following with complete joygasmic enthusiasm: Snyder and Co. have pulled it off.

Remember that feeling of watching Sin City on the big screen and being blown away by what a faithful translation of the source material it was, in terms of both content and visuals? Triple that, and you’ll come close to watching Watchmen. Even Alan Moore might be surprised at how close the movie is to the book. March can’t come soon enough."

So a big F U to 20th Century Fox!

The home of the shit!

WE WANT WATCHMEN YOU MOTHA ((((((BEEEEEEEEEP))))))

That had already been posted.

I don't really consider Kevin Smith someone to measure quality anyway, personally.

So how did that lawsuit go ?
