And yes, Zelda II, the Adventure of Link for the NES. This game also had a plot along the lines of "Ganon's minions are going to kill you to sprinkle your blood on his ashes, thus reviving him, so don't die or the entire world is ****ed". 😐

no....heres another comparison:
Little sweet flying things, glowing graphics, and as ive said in most of these posts "bright, colourful, childish" colours...from a "newer" game than:
Darker, grittier, more gothic Soul reaver which is an older game so its nothing to do with realism in graphic quality, merely on graphic style
Theres nothing stopping an adult from "playing" a childs game.... 😉
You do realize, that every time you say something, BT, that it is absolutely pointless? You can't judge a Zelda game when you've never played one. No, you haven't "seen enough", because all you've seen are images and you know absolutely nothing about the story.
Dark, Gritty, and Gothic is nothing more than an artistic choice. It has nothing to do with how the game plays, is enjoyed, or who it's targeted audience is at.
And again, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are followups to Wind Waker, the only game in the series with an actual cartoony look. Both of them suck / will suck anyway.
