His girlfriend dies and he's like;

"When are you going to stop zapping!" @ Mundus

Girlfriend? Who's gonna go out with somebody who looks like their mother?

So what DMC has cheesy lines, it's still fun and paved the way for God of War and Ninja Gaiden.

And you forgot the worst line:

"I should've been the one to fill your dark soul with liiiiiight!!"

Lol.

The only game you can say has something like that is Windwaker and its spin-offs.

OoT, and TP, the other 3D Zelda games, are both graphically realistic for their time.

Also, DMC is a far lesser game than any mentioned in this thread, use a better example.

Ive probably seen all of those "graphically realstic" games and graphics is nothing to do with it, their cartoony, their characters are bright, immature, the point is their nothing like the games ive mentioned in maturity.

lesser lol, you not likeing a game is not a bar for it to be a bad example, its a more mature game than Zelda based on artwork, design etc despite its obviously cheesy lines.

The only cartoony thing about LoZ is CDI and WW.

The only Zelda that is cartoony is Windwaker and it's follow ups.

I'm confused at what you mean by bright. Brightly colored? That'd be stupid, because then real life in general would be immature. If you meant bright as in having a positive outlook, then I don't really know what you're talking about because they never really act like that.

The games you mentioned have a darker, grittier storyline. That doesn't make them more mature.

Lol, the games he mentioned are chock full of pretentiousness, and designed to appeal to teenagers. Zelda is for all ages.

Just mostly for younger children, hence the graphic and art style.

Negative. You've never even played LoZ, and it's showing. Young children would rage quit. |:

It's got none of that pretentious 'trying waaay too hard' that makes older gamers find something better to do, either.

I dont have to play it to know who its aimed at wally, infact I am in a better position having not played it to judge it for whom its aimed on how inclined I am to playing it, which is very low, all you have to do is look at it and its artwork, its design etc, you know then that its aimed at younger generations, not adult. The fact it may be hard, have annoying puzzles etc can prob be said for many many games but it does not make LoZ series or any of those responsible for difficulty any less of a childs game for having hard puzzles.

😆

You say you never played a Zelda game and that puts you in a better position to judge who the Zelda games are targeted to.

That has to be a joke.

For it to be cartoony it can't have realistic graphics you dim-witted buffoon. 😐

Bright? Define "bright." And dude, nah, play Twilight Princess or Majora's Mask, both games are not "bright," they are dark in nature. Immature? And...Who is immature? Hell, how many LoZ characters can you even NAME? They are nothing like the games you've mentioned...In that they are not gory and have cursing. However Zelda is a MUCH more mature game series than DMC, and more than God of War as well, despite the fact that I am actually a fan of the series.

I do not like the game because it possesses a shitty plotline, has crap characters, cheesy, unfunny lines, and mediocre gameplay.

No you see no wonder you misunderstood it and thought it was a joke, you dont understand what target audience is, theres no way the opinion of someone who has played all the games can have the same view as someone who is a new customer or a target audience, they could easily outline the game as adult simply because they like it, or have bias because they enjoy the game a lot which is obvious in Screampastes case.

On the other hand, not having played any of the games but obviously seen all the advertisement, I can see without any knowledge of the actual game or its content (e.g. ime at the knowledge of the audience to the game before actually playing it, so I have a better grasp of what they would be targetting at rather than simply assuming its my age group, you would have to understand that the deeper content of the game is not necessarily what is made to appeal to an audience or intended customer e.g. kids/adult)

Screampaste, Nemo and anyone who has played the game would have the knowledge of the whole games that they have played in the series, which means they would be talking from a perspective of actually knowing whats in the game, which of course is the opposite to the intended audience because they would not know, on base value to give a few examples youve got main characters of games, lets choose Kratos from God of war and Link quite naturally, Link is a pointy eared typical hero with bright green clothes and in a lot of the games is a child which of course such a character is hardly made for mature audience or adult generation especially in comparison to Kratos, Dante, Kain etc

Also the intended audience, looking at two screenshots below, as a customer what would you off hand say is more mature looking:

This is a random screenshot, it says its Majoras mask but whatever it is, its a LoZ game, notice the bright colours, a fairly cartoonish tone to everything, everythings built for eye catching or comedic value, eye catching so that young children like the colours, link being a child like them would also likely draw them in.

Then we have:

God of War, which obviously, its far more serious in nature, dark tones, dark characters. Theres no flashy looking cartoony objects, not in the graphics or the heads up display or interface, the character reeking of burtality, vegeance and violence is one of the immediate and obvious mature themes but the whole graphic style tells you which of the two games is aimed at adults, and which is aimed at younger gamers.

You saw the quotation marks right? sarcasm....

bright as in, light colours to catch the eye, twilight princess looking at it may be an exception, ime not really sure but Majoras mask if the image above is from that game is not "dark"..lol a more mature game series than DMC and GOW? explain this statement...your saying just because its got a better story? or a harder puzzle?

BT's making me chuckle.

YouTube video Zelda commercial from 1998.

The quality is very bad, but you're telling me that's a cartoony, childish advertisement?

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/28-Devil-May-Cry-4 Most accurate review of a DMC game ever 😆

Oh, and furthermore your idea that bright colours are exclusively for children is utter nonsense. Many great villains use bright colours, especially the really chaotic ones, Majora, The Joker, Carnage, ect.

Majora's mask was a very dark game, darker than Twilight Princess, imho.

The comercial does not help you....its just got some theoratrical music played alongside a graphic style that is as i said, bright and cartoony, a little elf midget saving a princess while a little white pixy chases after him? lol.... I made my points, they outline how clearly the maturity of the actual game is made for younger generations.

Doesnt link have a game where a spell turns enemies into little colourful bouncing blobs? who are in fact enemies in the game...."sigh"

Its not just bright, the whole cartoony, bright aspect, the shape of objects...your talking bright from a distrubed sense...combine his mad character (or super sanity...) with the Jokers clownlike appearence and you make a dementia type character, a disturbed vision....your trying to make up for the fact Link is a childlike game with childlike graphics by pointing out those who use colour....sad

So your denying that the screenshot I posted was Majoras mask?

True, but even Yahtzee admits that the gameplay and combat is worthy of praise.

EDIT: I don't know what to make of that video. The game looks like crap and the trailer seems to be age-neutral.
