What I never understood is why it took more people to bring down O. Rugal (Kyo + Terry + Ryo + Athena) than Goenitz (Kyo + Iori)
I can't want to believe it in the beginning but I guess it was right that Iori is much stronger than Kyo. he one shot Kyo-2 probably with shiki oniyaki and Kyo-2 almost defeated K' in a fight. it was on KOF 99 drama CD made by SNK themself.

Your ability to read what I said is sorely lacking...I never stated that non canon events should be accepted for canon versions of the characters, but rather any canon events that have happened prior to that characters appearance in a non canon game. For example, Rugal's feats & story in KOF would have happened prior to CVS2 and are thus usable for arguing Ultimate Rugal. Likewise for Gouki, all of his events up to SSF2T would also be relevant, (I'm hesitant about including SF4, as it's not entirely clear at which point bitween SF2 & SF3 this takes place

Then re-read what I said... You just admitted that actual canon is aplicable to non-canon versions of the character.
I didn't say non-canon events apply to canon characters... Geez, people really need to read properly before jumping down my neck.
Listen, G.Rugal has canon rugals capabilities because it's his characters history, but G.Rugals powers and feats ARE NOT applicable to canon Rugal, THATS what I'm saying.

It doesn't matter what Gouki or Rugal did in their histories, because fact is, they had to have their powerlevels in the game changed to make that scenario work, obviously Gouki would shit-stomp Rugal based on what they did in canon, but not in the crossover, so why should we assume just because Bison<Gouki in canon, he is>Gouki in noncanon?

both scenarios made akuma look like a pvssy in comparison.
scenario 1:
has him buttf0cked by Rugal, sucked of his powers and thrown away like a pancake and so he does what all ansatsuken guys do: use cheap tactics. in this case he just beats rugal from the inside because he was too much of a wimp to do it from outside.
scenario 2:
rugal is beaten but he wasn't fubared like Gouki. Gouki was hurt too and so was rugal. in scenario1, rugal was barely even phased.
