So it must be some innate crap, or when his mother died something happened while he blacked out (First human experiment of Aizen's?)
actually it originaly came from the training to get his shinigami powers back after byakuya hit a severed the sourse of that power like what neph was saying i think, he had to get out of that whole before the chain got to the whole in his chest if that happend he would turn into a holow and he got out right as the chain reached the whole in his chest, and ever since the holow side of him has been trying to gain control and he eventualy trains to get control of it to become a visard where he had to fight his hollow self for controll of zangetsu, i think its a pretty bad ass story but thats just me

Trunks could blow up a big section of where they're fighting.
Trunks is fast.
If trunks looks at Aizens sword he has no way of beating Aizen.
If trunks fights with his eyes closed he would have no way of hitting Aizen. He can't sense his Spiritual Pressure or ki (Aizen can hide his).
So we are left with a situation where Trunks has to open his eyes to see Aizen. As soon as he does he's hypnotized and will see anything Aizen wants him to.
