Yeah I knew he'd be shot, who by and how.
There was a difference in the leaked info and what happened, though:

In the info that was leaked: Daniel died before he could tell Eloise who he was...that was to be related to her by Jack and Kate later on, apparently.
But there ya go...he told her. Dang.

Yes. According to all information so far, Daniel is dead, boys and girls.. Eloise was convinced of it all those years.

You can see now what I meant about the Jughead reference.

I had a feeling it was going to be that scene in Jughead when Ellie was holding the gun to Dan's back. That's the scene I was alluding to, I'm glad to see I was correct in my intuitions.
