STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Descent

Started by REXXXX35 pages

The bounty hunter goes first. With another pulse from his weapon (which you decide must be a sonic device, pain being inflicted by cell vibration and friction), you take 6 damage.

Instead of dilly-dallying around with combat tactics, Con plays up his unique capabilities. Clenching his fist, he extends his mind to the hunter's throat and clamps the windpipe shut. The hunter takes 3 damage and is pinned...

BOUNTY HUNTER FIGHT, START OF TURN 4

Wall

Hunter (G 9): 14 (using jetpack, away from wall)- Gripped

Con (LS 13 / FP 5): 3/3/12(12) [Block/Charge/Forward Guard]

"Who sent you" Con barks at the assassin as he tightens his grip around his throat.

The bounty hunter refuses to talk, and you give him two more damage as you tighten your Grip.

"I will not stop, until you start talking. Is that how you want it to end?" Con continues threatening him.

Another two damage. A slow and painful incapacitation/death, to be sure.

"How do... I know... you'll stop... if I talk?" he gargles, voice slightly distorted by a vocoder in his helmet.

"I guess you will have to trust me. It's your only chance"

"Can't trust you," the hunter says. "You work for... Syndicate."

"Yes, but I am also a Jedi. We are known to be honest."

"You're... no Jedi!" he growls.

You inflict four more damage with your choking grip.

I guess the use of Grip has changed, I will however continue using it.

"You are in no position to argue about my status. Answer my questions!"

Much has changed since we last saw Con Gordo! Any improvements or modifications made to his sheet during recent changes and xp distributing will be used in this mini-game.

The Hunter relents, not wanting you to strangle him to death (even if you do not intend to- Grip is a terrifying power and you Intimidate him into talking!). He will tell you whatever you want to know.

He tells you that the Syndicate sent him.

Why did they send him? And how did they send him, perhaps I can get more information about them through him.

They sent him as a test- you have been an excellent operative for the Syndicate so far, but they wanted to present to you a real challenge. There have also been rumors going about concerning your Jedi training... they want to make sure you're not just infiltrating them so you can take them down.

The Hunter is actually under a permanent contract with the Malik himself, the leader of the Syndicate.

I will ask for proof that he is working directly for the Malik.

The Hunter can show you his contract, complete with the Malik's signature.

Since I do not have my notes at the moment, I could not tell you the Malik's name... but suffice to say that you recognize the name in the scribbled signature. His claim is legitimate.

What is he meant to do after attacking me?

Report back to the Malik about your capabilities. He was expecting to report back that you were dead, but you proved him very wrong...

Very well then, he shall do that then, and send him a message from me saying that I'd be interested to meet him and think we could work out a way how we could be mutually useful to one another".

The Hunter will do so. When you release him, he jets off into the night on his jetpack...

-

In the preceding day, you receive no summons from the Syndicate via the communicator, and so decide to complete your work on the other communicator that you dismantled. By now it is hooked up to all sorts of things that you have been accumulating and spread across the table.

But today is the day, Con. You finally manage to break the coding and pinpoint the source of its signal! The Syndicate broadcasts their signals from a downtown area, from an 'abandoned' warehouse. You send Master Breshene a message to let her know, then strike out to scout out the place...

I want t approach somewhat cautiosly. Perhaps check it out from the roof, Batman style.
