I think the names of the shooters should not be revealed to the public...I understand why that would be to much to ask but they obviously want to be remembered which is why they specifically picked when they did to do it. So they should get no fame from something so dumb. I obviously not one of the "omg it was amazing" fans but this is going to be used to reflect "crazy" fans of the movie in further years down the road. So dumb and those poor injured/dead....

I know, I'm just waitin' for the rockhard, gas mask on their boners, full-on Bane fanboys to work their magic like they did with the Joker in TDK.

I think if batman was real and in colorado I don't think he could hold himself back from killing that ass hole gunman.

I think he would, though. He's caught Szasz in the act of murdering someone and not killed him.

Wow. I am shocked at what happened in Colorado. I don't know what to say.

just got back from seeing the dark knight rises...

this film was everything i knew it would be.. very epic.. solid story.. great acting all around.

it was what i was expecting and was somewhat obvious..

the film rocked from beginning to end..

this is a solid 10 of 10, but personally its more 100/10

I work at the movies and I think I got a day off today partly because of that Colorado shooting. Odd. mmm No doubt I'll see some beefed up security in the future though.

But yeah, great movie. I liked it the best as far as the plot twists go, though

Spoiler:
Talia's
execution I felt was rather rushed. Even with the few flaws the film has though, I don't think it really suffered from the "3rd movie" curse, at least not the way X3, Spider-Man 3, etc. did.

Avengers the best movie of the year my ass.

yeah that's gonna go to The Hobbit.....

Not that that's the only thing this year better than it.

lol I was sort of just "ribbing" at you but I seriously think the hobbit will be the movie of the year

EDIT: though I really did find that I enjoyed The Avengers more overall then TDKR. Though they really arn't made to be comparable.

Avengers wasn't very memorable. I think TDKR has that in spades.

That's fine.

And I agree that they're not really comparable, but that didn't stop some guy from making an Avengers vs TDK thread earlier. My comment was just sort of a backlash at that, I guess you could say (I don't dislike the Avengers, for the record).

lol I see.

Well In some aspects I can see some comparisons made but for the most part it's just opinion. Only a couple things I think could be compared really and that's how well they represent the comic book counter parts(if you even care about that) and the enjoyment level you got from either movie. Other then that I don't even understand how or why people even want to compare them.

What's going to be better then The Hobbit ?.....putting aside all these blockbusters this year.

Disappointed in the film personally. Not saying it was a bad movie or anything, but it doesn't even touch TDK. And is my least favorite of the trilogy.

That being said the series is still the best superhero trilogy/series to date.

Yeah, it was just... I hope the shooter gets molested in prison, fries in the chair and burns in Hell. Cripes, babies and young children were shot. 🙁

All people can do is be vigilant for any future trouble, keep the victims in your prayers, or in your hearts and minds if praying isn't your thing.

It looks like most of the posts were positive for the movie.

I think this one is on par with the Dark Knight and it's not even because of Marion Cotillard. I swear, that woman is like the Patty Schemel of film. You put her in anything and it instantly becomes watchable or is otherwise elevated.
I liked Bane better than I do in the comics, even if they did make him more than a little reminiscent of Darth Vader and Crossbones.

The shooting is tragic and sad and the guy needs to burn for it. And my heart goes out to all involved, But I have to say this. Who takes a 3 month old and a 4 year old to the dark knight rises never mind taking them to a midnight screening?!

I'm seeing it next week but I have to ask...for the people that saw the movie, does it really contradict and ignore the main point of TDK or do they find a way to make it work? I seriously doubt that they can find a way around it and all my friends (who are big Batman and comic book fans like me) have been telling me that it contradicts the message of TDK even worse than I thought it would. I would like what the people on this forum that saw the film have to say on that. Even though I'm 99.9% sure with everything that I heard that it does contradict TDK but hey, a guy can still hope. LOL
