i figured not. despite our many past (and future) disagreements, i never got the impression that your moral compass was broken.

Morals smorals.

It's more...he got called out for sexual assault and used that to come out of the closet. Oh and he blamed booze. So essentially he blamed booze and being gay lol.

That's just hilarious. The ACT of course is not funny at all, but this is just f*cking bizarre. At this point it would be easier for those in Hollywood who haven't committed some form of sexual assault to step forward.

It is a strange scenario, but that seems to be becoming the par these days. The world's ****ed, it's like we're only just starting to realise that.

But honestly, did you read what he supposedly did? He came onto the guy in a creepy-ass way, yeah, but he didn't force him into anything. The guy was able to leave of his own accord. Actual sexual abusers wouldn't generally let that happen, in fact it's that form of pressurised sex that is probably the most common form of rape.

Making this out to be 'sexual assault' isn't really reasonable. 'Inappropriate behaviour' for sure, very inappropriate, but 'sexual assault' is a stretch from the story that the guy told, unless I read it wrong.

Did I read it wrong? Am I missing something here?

I can understand someone laughing at the absurdity of it all tbf. It's a ****ing weird scenario

It\s just the phrase being used in the media. Sexual misconduct might be better?

Though some have called it molestation.

Saw that. Maybe he was curious at the time

weird, yes. "funny" as in "haha thats hysterical, my sides, i'm dying"? no way.

I don't really see it as funny. It's sexual assault.

If he molested mickey mouse, that would be funny. ermm

Yeah and I'm sure they'd love to call it just straight-up 'rape' if they could, because that's what sells. If he'd done any worse than he did then maybe we'd have a story here, but he didn't, so unless we hear of any other Creepy Kevin stories, I don't see what else can be made of it

Weinstein shit is turning into a witch hunt already and not a genuine attempt to confront the dark side of Hollywood. Not even surprised. Society is not mature enough to tackle big concepts I guess, they need them parcelled down into clickbait chunks so that their dumbass brains can figure out how it's supposed to make them feel

the allegations concern 'sexual assault', which is more than just drunkenly hanging over someone, being forward in a creepy way, and annoying them.

there is a pedo problem in Hollywood and in politics.

Everyone’s been sexually assaulted in one way or another in their life

And especially back in those days when nobody did anything about it

^^ everyone? no

In power positions in general. Look at the Catholic church, for example. It's clearly an issue all over the world but it's the one thing people are too scared to confront or speak about properly

i have been a kevin spacy fanboy for about 20 years, so this one hurts.
but unlike trumpers i will not alter my basic morality to accommodate my hero's transgressions.

it's becoming apparent that it is the end game of power gone out of control. like evil ultimately leads to it.

So we deal with it on a person-by-person basis, naming and shaming and ultimately solving absolutely nothing. No future incidents averted, but at least everyone can pat themselves on the back for not being a paedo.

I agree
