i have been a kevin spacy fanboy for about 20 years, so this one hurts.
but unlike trumpers i will not alter my basic morality to accommodate my hero's transgressions.

the allegations concern 'sexual assault', which is more than just drunkenly hanging over someone, being forward in a creepy way, and annoying them.
So like, if you've been a Spacey fan for 20 years, that's post-him-being-creepy-once, so don't feel bad about yourself. As far as you know you've never been a fan of Creepy Kevin... only Post-Creepy-Kevin
Unless more stuff comes out, anyway, which it may well do

There are so many things that are being classified as sexual assaultI mean, the media is getting on Adam Sandler for touching a woman’s knee

already practicing your "i never supported trump" schtick?you are at least wise in your intellectual cowardice.
pretty weak of you man. I've always been on the fence about the dude. it's all on the threads. i'm barely starting to believe the man. you're acting like an emotional woman. try to be objective

i think you are misunderstanding the difference between sexual assault and unwanted physical contact.
did you put your arm around a girl when she didn't want you to? did you ever go in for an unwanted kiss and get rejected? don't worry, because that has nothing to do with sexual assault.
Originally posted by Bashar TegWell that's the correct way of looking at it, so I'm still confused as to the deal with Spacey. I read the twitter story the guy posted – did something else happen there that he didn't mention? Because it jumps from "he picked me up, put me on the bed, was creepy and clearly trying to come on to me, then I went to the bathroom and left"

Seriously, am I missing something? I feel like I am because everyone keeps saying "sexual assault" and I just wanna know where the assault part is
the quote function is especially f*cked now, aint it?
i confess that i'm going by what the media is labeling it as, and honestly hope they are mislabeling, but the story so far is too nonspecific.
if there was no sexual contact, i don't see how it can be sexual assault, but also i suspect there are missing details.
"Rapp told Buzzfeed News that in 1986, Spacey, a fellow Broadway actor at the time, invited Rapp to his apartment for a party. Later in the evening, Spacey, then 26, allegedly “picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance,” according to the report.
“He was trying to seduce me,” Rapp recalled. “I don’t know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”
Rapp recalled he pushed Spacey off of him, went to a bathroom and closed the door, thinking: “What is happening?” He told Spacey he had to go home, to which he allegedly asked if he was “sure” he wanted to do that."
