I understand, but do you think there are any legitimate reasons for a person to want a Brexit?
Which is why I hope there's a way to get Labour in before it all properly kicks off. Keep hearing stuff about the Brexit deals and our government is making a ****ing mockery of it. No-deal Brexits, cancelling Brexits, poor-deal Brexits; no sign of a good-deal Brexit so far. ****ing useless tory cuntts.

I understand, so what do you think of the state of things in Europe overall?
Things aren't perfect here, obviously. Some countries are too open with their borders and we're an easy target for Islamic extremism. Right wing Fascist parties are making tract in political elections, almost to the point of being legitimised. The EU itself is a mess of contradictions and back-slapping policies that are not structured so that each individual country benefits from it. But even then, the EU has done some great stuff, so I can't really knock it. Pretty mixed bag.
Things could be better; things could be a whole lot worse, too.

I'm not saying it's an utterly horrible place to live but...IMO the fact you just had to essentially say "it's better than things like nazi germany and devastating world wars" to me suggests the situation is still quite dire.
It's like a rapist going "at least I didn't murder you".
We're doing better than America overall atm imo. Unless your only focus is on Dem Foreigners, in which case, of course you'd think Europe was doing badly. The immigration issue is hardly as pressing as the insane amount of gun violence the US deals with. I don't see how any American can criticise Europe for its handling of Islamic terror attacks when your own natural-born citizens wipe out way more month by month.

Let me explain it to you, the reason is because people here mostly do not care about the deaths we have. I do care, the country doesn't. I know the numbers, I always know the numbers of deaths here. In the last 24 hours we've had 2 dead and 9 injured.
Also it sucks to say, but people are used to gun violence. It is part of our culture. I am not defending that, but it is the truth. So yep, IMO it's not hard to see why when someone comes here from some crazy ass religion and murders people here in the name of that religion...people notice more. We see what happens to you guys and we fear it coming here slowly, and it seems it is.
It is the same reason attacks in the UK and all over Europe get attention more than attacks in the middle east, etc. Sad to say, those are common there. You have majority muslim religions. They come to your country and blow shit up and murder you or they radicalize people who already live there. I am not trying to insult you, I think both our countries need to be careful.

Originally posted by RobtardI do disagree with, for example, Germany's approach to immigration and handling refugees, even though I admire their compassion and understand why they've done it, but overall the focus on immigration and imagining Europe being turned into some nightmare scape by those on the right is utter tosh
Rightwing hack sights say Europe is a massive shithole being overrun by "Islamist" refugees because of their "Liberal" ways and such, so you understand why
Like America... you guys have Detroit, so don't step to Europe with your accusations of post-apocalyptic wastelands, you know?

It just more comes off like people trying to give the appearance that all is well even when it is not. I think where you live isn't as bad as other parts in Europe IMO. I think of Sweden and all the stuff going on there that isn't getting talked about much. I think of the rape gangs in Germany the government tried to cover up.
