I don't know. I've seen people try to suggest because the fathers are in jail. With the implication being that black men are being unjustly imprisoned and thus being removed from their kids lives.

That's a Nope to me. It's more just...crime happens more in these places, so there is a heavier police presence. It's why black men are in jail for weed more than whites despite similar levels of drug use. Some will bring up that fact and blame it on racism or whatever. But for me nope it is probably just...common sense really, higher police presence means even the lower crimes will see increases in arrests.
