I've seen white people frisked in poor neighborhoods. That tends to happen in high crime areas regardless of race. I've also seen them arrested for drugs.

In the past, sure. The present? Not so much here IMO. Ben articulates it better than I could:

YouTube video

I don't watch propaganda, as a rule. (That goes for leftist propaganda too.)

All I'm saying is that people hold a tendency to relate more to people similar to them, and since most employers are white males, that gives white males and white people in general an advantage. I can admit even myself that between two equally-qualified plucky young guys, one white and one black, I'd probably choose the white guy because I'd just naturally be like "Aw, he reminds me of me at his age. I want to give him the chance so he can succeed like me."

Positive discrimination and all. It's not that I'd be being racist towards black people, it's just that I'd be working from my own personal experience and choosing based on that.

I guess this confuses me. Where did you learn about white privilege? That wasn't propaganda?

And I gave you a video with an opinion on why this isn't a thing anymore. If you don't want to watch it fine, but then can you truly still insist this is a thing in the US?

The situation is recognized. People live in poverty, no one disputes that. It doesn't give you the right to resort to crime and violence. The problem seems to be that the particular group of people in question are blaming others for their issues. Like magically giving the poor money will turn them into good people.

I want their communities to realize they can help themselves by changing the culture from within. If you already distrust outside entities because you blame them, how are they supposed to help you?

I do agree in many ways, I think we're essentially arguing the same thing but from two different perspectives. I agree that the communities need to face changes themselves, but that outside influence can't be ignored, whilst I feel like you're saying that you agree that there are outside influences, but that the fact that the communities need to face changes themselves can't be ignored. Am I right there?

I never said I was cool with ignoring those facts. I said that those facts do not point to racism, which is what some SJWs try to push.

It is because higher crime areas have a higher police presence. It is not because they are out and they get a call "some kid has weed!" and they get there and they go "damn, he's white, we gotta cut him loose".

I'm not talking about an overall 'white privilege' thing, I'm talking about the general idea of tribal mentality, something I firmly believe in happening in all cultures. I also developed my own opinion based on more overall social and psychological stances and never actively imbibed in any form of propaganda (haven't seen any YouTube videos on white privilege being real, either). I put my I believe it'd be a thing in my last post and I think it covers it nicely. I'm just saying that being white myself, I believe that subconsciously I would probably choose a white person over a black person just due to personal relatability and the like.

I think it's a thing everywhere, all over the world, not just in the US. Why are you guys such a special example that it doesn't happen there?

The outside influence can't be ignored, but the thing is...influences within are ignored more than influences outside. In fact, there are still some who call facts racist. I do not mean people who say "you are twisting this fact because you are a racist". No, merely *reporting* this can get you called racist. And if you're black and you do it you're called an Uncle Tom or a coon.

But...you have to understand what you are describing is not necessarily what most mean when they say "white privilege" here.

Next can we discuss the gender wage gap?

The reason Surtur believes this is because he's not accomplished anything in life and has white skin, therefore it's a myth. #logic

I know, and I understand that. Examples of BLM chanting "What do we want? More dead cops! When do we want it? Now!" are brushed over and ignored, etc. I know the situation for the most part, and my opinion is that both sides are doing a shite job of solving it.

Thanks for informing others why I believe what I believe.

Lol and you just made a good point. Some in this country would label you racist for even pointing that out.

Like I said, in poor neighborhoods, everyone's a target. Considering minorities are in higher crime rate areas where Cops focus their attention, it stands to reason they're more likely to be caught. You run with your racist thing though.

Yeah, **** other people though. They can have their own ideas and that's fine. I'm just saying that you say that 'white privilege' is a total myth, despite it being something that just naturally happens in cultures and communities, with the 'white' part being replaced by the respective natural ethnic group of the area.

yes, but I believe inside factors are a much bigger problem and should be the priority.

Indeed and here is the thing, they wanna focus on weed lol. But...in the poor white neighborhoods, it's not even that they don't get arrested for drugs, it just tends to not be for that drug.

If racism factored into drug arrests we wouldn't see so many whites arrested for meth.

mmmhmmm lets just pretend that shit like this never happens, even though it has actually been implemented into police policy.
you have fun with that. https://www.nyclu.org/en/issues/racial-justice/stop-and-frisk-practices

I personally put both on the same par, but I also just generally believe that uplifting the poor would make for a better and more economically stable country, so the whole 'education and opportunities' thing is something I'm big on across the board.

Nobody is pretending anything. lol I'm just not gonna scream racism when there are other factors at play that you won't even acknowledge.
