There is a reason fewer and fewer women are willing to identify as feminists. Spoiler alert: it's not because they don't believe in equality.
Gonna cut in on this conversation real quick, I feel like I kinda have to, cause yeah.

The point behind feminism is that there should be equal pay when you have the exact same job, when someone makes more money for no reason, even if the woman was incredibly upstanding and did more for whatever company, the dude still gets paid more.

Like, the dude could be lazy as hell, but at the end of the day, he's still getting paid more then her, in the same job, with the same company.

Are you implying that Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence spent less hours working and took more holidays whilst filming American Hustle than Jeremy Renner did? Because otherwise your statement don't make-a no sense-a

Lol uh I'm talking on average.

It doesn't exist in the way morons marching think it does. The 77 cents bullshit.

They whine over it with the implication it's sexism causing it, as opposed to life choices.

Yeah, but it still exists in different forms. Yes there's the whole hours worked / holidays thing and that is something a lot of people ignore, but you're ignoring the parts that do exist, which makes you as bad as them.

Bullshit, if they want equality stop referring to it as a name that highlights the female aspect. It's not difficult.

The instances of people making more money literally because of their dick are rare.

So you're not denying that the 'sexist' side to the wage gap does exist in some form, and that its existence is a bad thing and should be fought against?

Lol no, because whenever some feminist runs her mouth about this the implication is that sexism is causing it.

It's false, period.

I don't deny Hollywood is very sexist, yes.

today on kmc: welfare fraud decries the lazyness of those stupid wymins

And also that you're not denying that institutional sexism resulted in the female co-stars of the movie getting paid less, despite them being bigger name draws than some of their male co-stars?

Never said anything like that. Try again.

Well good, this is some form of progress. Is it really that unlikely that other institutions are sexist too?

Not denying the sexism in Hollywood causes this wage gap in Hollywood.

It's not bullshit dude, it's common knowledge and it's a legitimately average occurence.

Like, let's say something like... EVEN McDonalds for example, I've seen dudes get paid upwards of $1 more even when they're sitting around, I know this because my friend (who sits down at a table and talks to us while on the job he had at the time), told us how much he made, and told us how much the girls (and guys) get paid. Both got paid "minimum wage", but one got paid less.

It should be eliminated regardless of what people say about it, Surt. I think the fact that it does exist is still worse than people exaggerating the extent that it does exist.

"This thing does happen, but not in the precise way you're saying it does, so I'm going to focus on your words rather than the wrongdoings of society"

Like what

Thing is, they aren't whining this is "likely" happening. They act like it's fact.

Just like when they cite the misleading 1 and 5 stat about sexual assault.

Show me McDonalds doing that so we can fight them together.

I never said don't strive to bridge the gap. Just don't whine and blame sexism. Why is that so difficult?

You don't need to whine about patriarchy and that to make it an issue. Like what?

I'd be somewhat wary of that source. idk about in America, but in the UK jobs like that have a flat rate of pay regardless of gender or anything else.

So educate instead of attacking. Approach it in a sensible and rational manner, instead of throwing insults around. You won't change anyone's mind by calling them an idiot

It's like rape. Rape STILL happens here. You do not need to lie like little weasels and pretend we live in a rape culture in order to discuss rape. But they do it anyways.
