Sounds like some good stuff. This is why you should get Neverwinter Nights. The games 2nd expansion takes you into the epic levels(around level 28-30 depending on what side quests you do). One of these you go to an illithid slave encampment in the Underdark. You can fight them or work with them.
Apparrently the new Baldur's Gate game is all about being an illithid or something

And yes if you want in the game you can fight the elder brain.

You can also take on a bunch of beholders if you want. They are VERY hard to deal with as a mage given their beams can cause spell failure. And the mother beholder yikes...

Have you played Pathfinder: Kingmaker? It's based on the Pathfinder rules, which is basically DnD revised 3rd edition.

Pretty good game, came out 2016-2017

Yes I like it I have it on steam

I am way too used to my big ol TV to play any games on the laptop by now. I think NWN is available on PS4 but I just have a lot of games to play first

I didn't finish it, got close though. Game crashed, lost everything and I didn't want to start fresh,

Kingmaker came out at the same time as actual Pathfinder merch, so they had some good minis around then. Not that I bought any, but my friends did.

As a fan of the forgotten realms you're missing out on some great games. The Baldur's Gate Series, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights just to name a few. Not to mention games that aren't from the FR but use similar gameplay systems, etc.

And don't play NWN on a console you deny yourself the modding experience. One was even turned into a book series it was so good. Then there are others based on older games, there is a Diablo mod, even incorporates all the music from the game. You have a bunch of mods based on campaigns. Tomb of horrors is good for a group of people, you can play eye of the beholder which first game out in 1991 on a PC. I think there is a pools of radiance mod, etc. A bunch of original stuff too, there was a great 2 part mod series I loved called "tale of a mage". You could only be a wizard or sorcerer so it was specifically just for magic users. It took from a noob to epic levels too. It was excellent and challenging.

You're missing out on a lot

Also technically you can buy things that let you view your PC on a tv i have one tho i dont use it much anymore

*smh* I hate when that happens. It didn't happen to me with that game, but it has on others and yes it is the worst with the really long RPG's because you just don't wanna sink so many hours into it again.

Same thing happened to me with Pools of Radiance way back in the day. Made it outside the dungeon and then crash. There was a fix/patch, it was a well known issue, I just didn't know about it. Had to start all over.

Reminds me, I never did play PoE 2. Have it though.

This talk of patches reminds me about the early days right after Skyrim came out where either the first or 2nd patch completely reversed all elemental resistances, so if you were 50% resistant to fire you were now 50% immune.
