wolverine is far from favourite 😬 and deadpool was a rather obscure character until ultimate alliance
wolverine is the most loved x-man by far. twelve year old boys all over the world idolise the guy. and some older ones too.
deadpool has depth? not really. no offence to the guy, i love his comics and all, but i think even he would take issue with being called deep.

Deadpool was widely known amongst comic fans way before UA. Before UA those two were way more popular than Scott. You still have yet to prove or tell us how Scott was meant to be popular? Just because he's the leader?

he has the uncontrollable death ray from his eyes. he didn't even know how to talk to jean when she first arrived at the school. she had to pursue him to get close to him. i don't think anyone would have actually picked him as their favourite unless, like me, you have an almost (if not actually) identical personality.

Let's see. Your two favorite characters, Wolverine and Deadpool... Both have their own comics, both have, or will have, their own movies, i've seen woverine and deadpool childrens costumes... need i go on? And yet, you say you don't like characters designed to be popular. Pick a side, bub!

ya, it's freakin annoying, ya but show a picture of deadpool to non avid readers, they most likely wouldn't reconise him, don't really care to argue about scott anymore, it's getting very old
The same can be said about Cyclops. You really haven't argued anything. Just refused to acknowledge facts and examples about him and make baseless claims that weren't true. 😬

he was the everyman, atleast the everyman comic reader
i don't agree. he's never been treated like that by writers or by any large number of fans. he's more often seen as the ******* leader than anything else.
he's not like, say, peter parker, who while awkward as peter, got to express himself as spider-man. cyclops and scott are intertwined to the point that people who don't get on with cyclops rarely get on with scott either.
